Season 2 finale. How we feeling about the last episode and where Tommy is headed into Season 3?

Yeah I wasn't impressed this season until that last episode, which I liked.
Too many episodes this season, where at the end of it, me and my wife would look at each other after watching and agree that nothing really happened again.

Still have the last 2 episodes to go but we've loved it and don't undersrand what everyone is bitching about in regards to season 2.
I don't know when Taylor Sheridan sleeps. Hit after hit. He's got 2 Yellowstone spinoffs coming later this year. One with Casey. One with Beth and Rip. Also has another in March with Kurt Russell. Dude is a machine.
Not to ruin it but let's just say Cooper is damn lucky to have that female lawyer Rebecca on his team. She's a killer.

Sheridan has built a huge franchise, but it's not like he's on a laptop cranking out all the scripts. Mayor of Kingstown, for example, is Hugh Dillon's brainchild. (It's loosely based on Kingston, Ontario, where Dillon grew up). But the show probably never gets off the ground without Sheridan's brand attached to it.
I need to watch Tulsa King. Seen first two episodes. Looked good.And then couldn't find the time. Love Sly in Oklahoma.
I've never watched Tulsa King, but I've heard good things about it. The first three seasons on Mayor of Kingstown were fantastic, but it kind of ran out of gas this past season. They're doing one more season, which I will watch, but the show has pretty much run its course.
It’s the Dallas model. It took all season to find out that JR got shot.
All I’ve seen is scene clips. I should watch the whole deal. Love the out takes.
I think the entire show could focus on the house and I would be rolling on the floor. Sam Elliot is a bad a$$.
The previous episode was stank garbage. This season it seems like the producers (or whoever) went 50 different directions trying to introduce more scenarios and new characters.
However, I definitely liked the direction of the final episode. Good stuff.

Yes, she has been a nice addition, and the hotness factor has gone up on a couple characters as well.
Rebecca is badass smoke show.
I can’t wait for season 3 to start after the final episode was amazing, beautiful women and great one liners with great humor make this show a must watch every week.
I doubt that AI is needed. Writers are lined up to pitch him scripts the way they did the big 3 networks decades ago.
People eat sons of anarchy on the ranch or sons of anarchy in the oilfield slop up because we are nothing but a bunch of clapping seals anymore.
The finale was okay but there was way too much going on. They probably could have turned it into three episodes. They never even touched on the dude leading the offshore project.
I’m a big Sam Elliot fan but he’s added nothing to season 2, conversely the one episode in 1883 where Billy Bob was in, was pretty damn memorable
Personally haven't seen Landman, but I have seen the Billy Bob T-Mobile commercial where he's playing a version of that character about 4,647 times. So Landman can get phooked. Apparently BTN sold 4 ads this month and T-Mobile was 3 of them.
Yes they did. When Tommy was talking to the Andy Garcia character, he basically lined out why and how it was going to fail and why Demi Moore character is going to fail.
HIs story is the catalyst for Tommy's change. Pulling dad from the retirement community, bringing him to his house to live, etc...It is all part of Tommy prioritizing family and those close to him.
Did you notice the shot of the ring the guy was wearing who tried to rape Cooper's girl?
I believe it is just an Aggie ring.
I have also seen theories about Tommy being executor of Monte's estate and other things that didn't play out.
I doubt you could advance that storyline in one episode. There is no way they were going to get the drilling started and any answers in a day or week. The last episode was pretty short term, considering the had to address the firing, the new company, the rape and murder stuff, they couldn't really go out a couple of weeks or even a month in time and still accurately explain those short term storylines.
Season 2 was badass. Finale was one of the best finale's ever. Can't wait for S3!!
I'll brag a bit... Taylor lives about 15 minutes from me out here in the country West of Fort Worth... Most of the scenes in Landman and a bunch of other shows of his are recorded all around here where I live... The Man Camp where all the workers live for the show (Where is son got the **** beat out of him) is directly behind my house on the ranch behind me. I came home last year when they were filming and have pics of all the lights and cameras up in the air... the Patch Cafe is a fake establishment located right down the road and a lot of the actors hang out in the Weatherford/Aledo region and are regular sights at local restaurants. We have more fun watching that show just to see local **** on TV than anything else
