AKB - I need to send a small package to India. What is my best bet regarding shipping options? The box is small, about 6 inches square, and weighs about half a pound. I don’t care if it takes several days to arrive. Thanks for your advice.

I always mail the small things like this at the Post Office. They are almost always the least expensive, especially if you are not looking at an expedited delivery.

I still think FEDEX or UPS so you can track it.

Being in the Logistics field (though I am not shipping personal items). I would go to the closest UPS store. I believe some of the Staples locations have UPS/FedEx ship stations. Have them walk you through it. There could be customs regulations that need to be followed. Get the insurance. Usually cheap and worth the price if it's something of montetary value you're shipping.

I would also think about re-packaging it if possible to a size that would fit into the UPS/FedEx envelope.
