Many conservatives/Republicans won't vote for people who support abortion because it kills an unborn fetus, will vote for people who enable mass murder of born human beings though.

You may not like Mitch, but to want one of the most powerful Senator's (representing KY) in the country out of office is asinine. It is possible that Pelosi and her cronies take over the house, which would be bad enough. We definitely don't need a liberal controlled house and senate.

Last Democratic US Senator from Kentucky was Wendell Ford and he retired in 1999. Going to be a long climb up the hill for Jones.

God is supposed to be the judge, jury, and executioner. So many conservatives are anti-abortion, yet they are cool with death penalty. Seems hypocritical to me.
Death penalty has nothing to do with religion. If someone shoots up a school and we catch them alive don’t you think they should be put to death?

If a woman has consenting sex with a man, becomes pregnant, and decides to abort the child for no other reason than it’s an inconvenience my morals tell me that is wrong and I’m not a Christian. I guess my morals are just different from someone that can think something like that is okay

This thread seems to have defined two things. UK fans won't let sports overrule their political stance and UL fans won't let their political stance overrule their sports.

Matt Jones is about to Periscope Ryan Lemond chasing a greased pig. Changed my vote, definitely voting for him now. Unless Mitch McConnell posts a video of John Ramsey putting squirrels in his pants for the purposes of gambling.

news flash:
'Republicans'' who run for office claim to be against Abortion for one reason ONLY and that's to get the CHURCH vote.
Don't yall understand how getting elected as a republican works since 1980? The CHURCH vote changed the parties future.
lol Coal miners and church people....so easy to manipulate. The red party laughs about you every freaking day as they cut the taxes for the rich. GOOD TIMES!!!!!!!

Perhaps the taxes for the poor can be cut some day if they ever start paying any.

Can never support/vote for a Dem as long as their party platform supports abortion.
So if a Dem what the best candidate in the history of the US government, and would improve the world as a whole, you wouldn't vote for them if the only thing you disagreed with was they support a woman's right to chose?
Impossible scenario. A Demoncrat couldn’t be the best candidate. It’s an oxymoron.

Call me crazy, but I think I’ll wait and see where he stands on the issues.

Having said that, based on where I THINK he stands on most issues, I don’t think I’d vote for him in a primary but I’d definitely vote for him in the general against Mitch. But again, I’ll wait and see where he stands.

No, it's the Republicans job to cut the funding to feed these kids, although they can't help how their parents are.
First of all that's false. Funding has not been cut it increases every year. Also it's not the government's job to provide food.

Not sure if Matt Jones is a serious enough candidate for me to vote for even if I know it’s time for the turtle to get out of DC.

But also love hearing from some of the right side who when it comes to Old Testament **** don’t want seperation of church and state but when it comes to the hippie Jesus preachings Merica don’t need no government telling them what to do.

Sheep on both sides just following where the rich wants to lead them....

.....I'm fiscally conservative. Somewhat liberal when it comes to certain social issues.

Me too. That is in line with the Libertarian platform.

I wish they could rise up as a competitive third party.

I'm registered as an independent because I HATE the hard party line approach.

I have a degree in Political Science and I think that influences my views on the topic.

I find it odd that one party is pro-choice and anti-death penalty and the other is the opposite. That seems a bit hypocritical for both.

The baby is an innocent victim. Those who receive the death penalty are convicted of premeditated murder. Can't see the difference?

No, I see the difference.

And either side can make good arguments for their stance.

To me it makes the most sense to be anti-abortion and anti-death penalty but that doesn't align with either party's agenda.

That is one of the reasons I said I hate the hard line party approach.

I have said this to people and have them look totally confused. I guess voters are so polarized today that the vast majority think they have to bend themselves to fit every detail of their party of choice.
