No way in hell will the IOC do another olympics in the south. I had no problems with Atlanta, but apparently they hated it.

For the record, Texas does not count as the south in this instance and I could see them doing one in Dallas. LA, New York, or Boston will get a games before the south does again.

So, it took the city less time to get an Olympic bid invite than it took for Memphis State to get invited into the Big East...

Atlanta had some issue, mainly with Traffic.

They spread the venues out pretty far and Atlanta traffic being Atlanta traffic it made for a logisitical nightmare. Plus Atlanta went cheap (well responsible) on the venues. However I truly doubt Memphis ever even sniffs an shortlist.

Atlanta doesn't count as the south. You're more likely to get a bagel there than a biscuit...not that there's anything wrong with a bagel.

Memphis hosting the Olympics. That's a hoot. They don't support anything except Tiger basketball and rasslin.

On the bright side, The First 48 could probably film 6 or 7 seasons of material based off of that one little stretch of time.

I know it's fun joking about it but......

Many new venues would have to be built and many of those would end up in Mississippi and I am not just talking Horn Lake.
