I’ll admit I was a GNR fan from day one, and I will not debate that Appetite is easily one of the best albums from start to finish. Use your Illusion came out when I was 15 and the idea of buying 2 CDs seemed absurd at the time, but I still did it. Loved them both, people complained of the piano, random movie quotes, two different versions of Don’t Cry etc. I am listening to the whole thing while I am doing spreadsheets at 49 years old and holy shít the entire thing stands up. In the day the hits were what I loved, but now it’s the deep tracks that stand out. I hate AXL was a shíthead and tore them apart, but damn they stamped one down in 1991.
