Welcome to last Thursday. And HB2 should not to be labeled "open carry law." Open carry has ALWAYS been the law. HB2 is properly called the "Redefinition and Clarificartion of Concealed Carry Law."

^ What Shmuley said. What the new law aimed to clarify was whether a holstered gun was considered concealed, even if carried openly. What the old law basically said is if any part of the gun is covered up, then it is considered concealed and the carrier would need a permit.

Myself, I'm not a fan of open carry. I have a conceal permit and I think open carry sends the wrong message to those opposed to or afraid of guns. Plus, the training you get with the permit process is priceless.

It was on yesterday's hand-down list. In my rush to get away from civilization last holiday weekend, I missed the coverage... As you were.

/i only called it "open carry" so people would know what HB2 means.
