Granddaughter will moved to Charleston next year for graduate school. Has classes at Trident & wants to live in the N.Charleston area. Wondering how safe an area it is?
Realize we're looking several months (8-10) down the road but, really appreciate thoughts & advice for apts, rental houses, etc.
Pretty sure we're adding a Citadel grad to the family after she graduated. Hence, reason for moving to Charleston.

Alot of apartments in the Nexton area. Minutes from CSU area that was mentioned. Easy commute to Trident, downtown Charleston etc.

Depends on traffic.
There's a reason CHS is ranked #17 in traffic congestion. Pretty much tied with Houston.

Correct, I drove it 18 years until retirement 2 years ago. I would rather deal with traffic than the crime in N Charleston.

Son lived at 4830 Wescott recently which alternately shows as a Summerville or NChas address. Really liked it. Nice apartments, interior doors. Very safe.
