Vic Power. MLB played in the 50's and 60's for about 10 years or so. Not much power though. Only about 120 career home runs with the Phillies and Indians. OFC

Yes but I was referring to Woods both the golf clubs and where I seemed to hit the ball back when I played some and Dizzy is a great name and if you feel it fits in that's fine. I just don't want this thread to get too far off course if you get what I'm saying OFC

Do nicknames count?

If Hank Aaron's parents had named him "Hammerin' Hank" out of the womb, that's way cool. But getting that nickname after the first few hundred home runs seems to be a different sort of thing.

He played for the Cubs when I was in high school, I specifically bought it to wear to school so I could have have something inappropriate that they couldn’t do anything about.

Ok guys I surrender. Anything goes. Names don't need to have anything to do with the positon they played. Nick names are open and so are odd names. OFC

Pat Rockett, a shortstop who the Braves brought up from the farm in their LEAN late 70s- early 80 years was billed as a SS with "a Rocket right arm" by Street and Smith's baseball magazine.

We never saw it, he didnt do much and didnt last long in Atlanta.

Andre Agassi is a great name for an athlete, tennis player or otherwise.

Bjorn Borg is a great name for a tennis player IMO.

They named a ROOT BEER after this Twins slugger from 60s-70s, and for good reason:

Harmon KILLEBREW

"KILLEBREW ROOT BEER"
