I’m off of work today so I stayed up and watched about ten episodes last night. I think they did a great job, but there was one thing I couldn’t really get over. Kahn’s new “voice”. The change with Dale doesn’t bother me, but Kahn’s is pretty bad. They got really creative with all of the different ways Hank has to adapt to life back in Texas, and I liked that.Dropped yesterday. I watched the first two episodes on Hulu and they’re great.
Watched the first two episodes last night. Was Dale’s voice AI generated? Sounded really “robotic”. I couldn’t ignore it. Pretty sure Johnny Hardwick died several years ago.I watched four episodes and haven't seen Khan yet. I think Dale is still Johnny Hardwick in the episodes I've watched so far. Laughed out loud in the episode about cultural appropriation at Joseph talking about being white while Bobby's shaking his head no at his employee that's giving him the look.
I think he died last year but he had recorded something like six episodes worth. I haven't made it past that point yet.Watched the first two episodes last night. Was Dale’s voice AI generated? Sounded really “robotic”. I couldn’t ignore it. Pretty sure Johnny Hardwick died several years ago.
Loved that line. I always say: "If I wanted fruit in my beer, I would order wine." Its a Michael Ja kson quote (the writer and whiskey expert, not the singer). And a regrettable beer snob I loved :
I've been drinking beer for 40 years, and one thing I never wished for was it to be more fruity
There are several Dale Gribbles who post here.“Remember Hank, we are the dinosaurs and they’re the virus the evil dinosaurs government created to make them go extinct.” - Dale
You’re exactly right about the dad thing. Almost every sitcom or similar show the dads are portrayed as bumbling idiots. There are exceptions but not many. There are several Dale Gribbles who post here.
Don't have Hulu so I haven't seen the new episodes. The old series was really good and Hank Hill was portrayed as a good, hard-working dad of average intelligence with common sense. Hollywood likes to make fun of dads, and Mike Judge did a bit in the old series, but Hank always came across as a decent guy. And the show was funny.
