I see 2 games I'd watch of the 16 'protected' games. Not good for the ACC.

Boston College-Syracuse, Boston College-Pitt, Syracuse-Pitt, North Carolina-Virginia, North Carolina-Duke, North Carolina-NC State, NC State-Wake Forest, NC State-Duke, Duke-Wake Forest, Virginia Tech-Virginia, Florida State-Clemson, Miami-Florida State, Miami-Virginia Tech, Stanford-Cal, Stanford-SMU and Cal-SMU.

It’s funny to see two schools rumored to be among those who were snobbishly against the PAC12 adding Oklahoma, Texas, and others now taking a reduced ACC share to have SMU as their protected game.

Just a few of the non-football related threads on the first page of the football board.

This guy posts something actually football centric, for a school a lot of us have disdain for, and he's being hosed

Maybe if he would have started a thread on Global warming, holiday recipes or home decor, and had upwards of 50k posts, he'd be lauded

This board never ceases to amaze me

So everyone plays each other twice over 7 years, 8 conference games a year, 2 protected rivalries per school.

We are playing everyone twice in 4 years, correct? 18 teams, 9 conference games a year, variable # of protected rivalries?

no like= no read.
Just my penny's worth.
Read some of the complaints so decided to post this: "no like= no read." message
But it should be an OT message .
The fruit-flies deserve an OT because this is a Rutgers football board and the 2024 schedule the rotten fruit will play doesn't include Rutgers

GT was 7-6 in 2023 beating the fruit 31-22.
i wouldn't be to sure GT will lose ,even if the Orange have home field advantage
Cal came on strong at the end of 2023 winning its last 3 games to qualify for a bowl
Being at home I'd give the edge to the Golden Bears

I'd put the California game in as a loss. Anyone with a pulse will beat Syracuse and at 6-7 with losing a few close ones, California definitely has a pulse for a school of Syracuse's ability.

I posted previously its conceivable with that schedule they could win ten games and still not make the playoff unless they win the conference. The ACC is a one bid league. The football equivalent of the NEC in hoops and that's with FSU and Clemson in the league.

More like the Shore conference, but point taken
