OT: NFL to Purchase Equity Stake in ESPN?

Per NY Post, the parties are reportedly in advanced stages in talks. The NFL would obtain an equity stake in ESPN (doesn't say how much - I assume a minority position). In return, ESPN would obtain 100% of NFL Media, which includes NFL Network, NFL.com, NFL Films, etc.

This could get interesting.

NFL getting in bed more with a company that runs its own gambling operation is interesting optics.

Also might as well eliminate NFL Network too then. Pointless to exist

How would this affect the dynamic with the new ESPN/NFL and them owning the SEC with no benefit on pushing the BIG10.

Seems like it would get worse.
