If the Devils play with this effort for the rest of the year, the playoffs will take care of themselves.

Great W. Having Nico back lengthens the lineup to say the least. Loved seeing Holtz get time with Hughes. He may be finding it.

Nico instantly greatly improves
our defense. Kudos to Smith for putting down Clifton, the 4th line suits him. I hope this team starts to play together. They need to remember last year with Florida, Clifton hurt your captain, I don't care why, go get him. Doing so will galvanize this team.

Dominant win

I have to admit, I like Smith as a forward.
He played well and you gotta love him sending Clifton a messsge.

Good job by the fans that booed Clifton.

Now if we can get Jack to stop the high risk turnovers and start scoring again , along with Timo returning

In a minor deal, that might pay huge dividends, the Devils have traded Tyce Thompson to the Islanders for a player with a classic hockey name so I will only give his initials- A.D.
What makes this interesting is this LW played in the Q for Halifax with Nico and Timo. He is about 6 foot 185lbs. I could see him called up later this year, as he played a handful of games with the Islanders, while at Bridgeport.

Name is Arnaud Durandeau or close to this 😆!

Lazar draws back in tonight. Haula looks to be out with a lower body injury. Still no clear timetable on Meier as he's skating on his own - have to think he's close...?

Timo hasn’t practiced yet.
Stinks he won’t be back to face his former team Friday

Haula has some sort of issue that he’s re-aggravating. He’s a heart and soul player that team will miss vs the big Islanders and tough Philly.

How long do we think Fitz lets this go before addressing the goaltending? The defense broke down again on 2 of them tonight, but stop a puck for a change. This franchise really sold its soul for 20 years of Brodeur.

Great come from behind WIN! I know some got annoyed by the ( rightfully placed ) negativity, but with their ears burning, or not 😆, this TEAM has found their mojo!

I hope Hamilton is not seriously injured. Great game again by Smith, who even played good defense tonight.

In closing, I think the Devils are missing a great marketing opportunity, with the idiotic Jersey jersey's and the winter hat, hat, they should sell RED @ BLACK Devils condom, condoms. Come on fan's score with your NJ DEVILS!

lol gotta love Anders Lee...gets dropped on his ***, goes for a retaliatory hit but instead just gets knocked right back on his ***, then starts a fight and loses, and in doing so took himself out for the rest of the game while all we lost was our 6th defenseman 🤡

Big comeback!
Schmid settled them down apparently.

Good job Lazar.

Always good to beat Long Island

Dougie left injured.

A 5-game streak of the Devils losing a player to injury during the game. That’s weak.

Devils ability to smother the opposing team and completely take away time and space will make them a tough out come playoffs.
Return of Nico and Jack playing at a speed and level of elusiveness foreign to the league.

Devils are one of only a handful of teams fast enough to produce the relentless puck pressure needed to win in the playoffs

If they get in

So many injuries , soft overall, sloppy defense and poor goaltending.

Fitz needs to make a lot of corrections

They will make the playoffs. Prepare to pony up the $100 to Rutgers NIL as you promised. Their goaltending will prevent them from going far.

I'm going to doubt it's serious.

And if it's only a short term thing, potential silver lining is a Nemec call up.

While they can't afford to lose Hamilton for any extended period of time, he could stand to sit for a bit. He's really struggled defensively this year. That was at least passable when he was filling the net in the first few games, but now that that's dried up a bit, it's been more noticeable.

Bratt could be faster than hughes

With Hughes running the PP Hamiltons value to us has plummeted. We would be so better off swapping him for a stay at home defensive men. Not sure any team would take that contract.

Devils are 2 defenseman and a average goalie away from being in the conversation of a favorite.

Right there with him, but a different level of ability to separate himself from defenders.
Yes I did watch the Sabres dismantle the Rangers on Monday night.
Kept up with the basketball game by reading the game thread filled with incredibly knowledgeable insight.
GG stands still in the corner, how can you ask for anything more discrptive than that😊
