Do you ever think the Devils will win? Are you really a Devils fan? If you are, you athe most negative fan in sports history!
Agreed, it is why I thought 1 offensive star, say Bratt, would be traded for defense or goalie help. Now even if it is Tanev, the price goes up as the Devils are (close) to desperate. This team has enough offense, it is defense that will tell the story. I predict Fitz will part with more for a lesser defenseman, as I really like Zadorov.

Yes they have made medical advancements. Now that said defensemen don't regain their previous form usually, see Matt Dumba.

I’ve been listening to my younger guy’s college game on the radio so I wasn’t tuned in. And I mistakenly thought this game wasn’t on MSG. Thought they said a streaming service yesterday.
Also, our pretty sideline reporter was the kiss of death last night with her post game “bottom feeder” comment about the Sharks.

Ha ha, learn the game if you think this predictable embarrassment was mostly on goaltending. Schmid stunk , yes. But ruff should have never started him the night after getting barraged in Philly. Poor coaching

Schmid gave up 5 goals on 1.25 goals expected. That is laughable. Defensive lapses or not, make a ******* stop. Fitz is pissing away a season behind this loser coach and men’s league goaltending.

I also don’t agree with his or your assessment. Are there structural issues? Sure. But not anything that a bit more beef, lockdown D and/or semi decent goalie can’t cover up. NJD will have a good amount of cap room at the TDL. And still have a lot of redundant assets to get it done. The talent is unquestionable. In the reg season, that should be enough to win more 5-4 games than lose, and they are only a few percentage points out of the playoffs right now. None of the other teams in that neighborhood are taking off either. This year is not close to over.
