I think we gotta roll with Allen down the stretch..

Markstrom hasn’t been the same since his injury. Just above an 80% save percentage since he returned.

Not gonna cut it..

I do think we are at the point where we start to lean on Allen a little heavier, like I think he will get the next game, and really we are leaning on him heavier now then we did pre Markstrom injury, but some focus does need to be on helping Markstrom find his groove. For one Markstrom pre injury was playing really well, secondly not sure how long we can count on Allen playing at this level, especially while handling a heavy workload. You have to go back 7 seasons for the last time Allen played true +1 minutes.

So I don't think we see Allen start 3-4-5 games in a row, but yeah, roll with the hot hand a little bit for now.

Should have started Allen after his performance last game . Good 50 mins and terrible 10 mins.

I looked at the price of tickets on Stubhub before the game last night and was thinking about going. Some as cheap as $4. There were PLENTY for $5. Even some downstairs for$11. Now I know why I didn't bite. Even $4 would have been TOOO much for that last 5 minutes.

Four to six players in the starting lineup who are minor leaguers in most organizations. That said this team is playing like they want a long summer.

IMO blame goes to our bad owners and our bad in season GM who is doing the owners bidding by keeping cost low. Imagine if the Devils got Cozens and Zetterlund, Nico and company may have been galvanized to play hard the whole game.

Hard to do, but this team needs to play like mad dogs all game like they did in the 3rd period last night. As TM94 said they are playing with several minor leaguers in the lineup.

1)Are you aware there is a salary cap?

2)Zetterlund currently with 0 points in 7 games with Ottawa.

3)It's spelt Cozens.

With their LTIR money - salary cap wouldn’t have been an issue.

But yea, Zetterlund is not doing much, Cozens is a great pickup but may have cost too much.

I respect the pessimism, but who would've you been willing to give up to acquire Cozens? I'll give ya a hint - Mercer wouldn't cut it by himself. You'd probably be looking at Mercer + Nemec or Casey. Are you making that trade?

Yes I am. They are slowly tanking Nemec like Holtz, both bad picks IMO. Furthermore if Fitz was not so bad at his job, he could have gotten the help this team needed before the prices were so bad IMO. Instead the puppet kept his head up his *** until the last days of the deadline like last year.

It should be playoffs or bust at this point.

The example used the other day was because we lost to Ottawa. The players know when ownership believes in them and wants to win.

I do not attack people personally when I posts. If you want more than an emoji, don't be a jerk.

Maybe one day more will understand LTIR. You have it, but owners DON'T have to spend it. For 2 years now our owners have balked at using it. Puppet Fitzgerald is bad but doing what these corporate shills want. The LTIR is more money out of the owners pocket, for a chance to win. Dr. McMullen or Jeff Vanderbeck wanted to win and would have spent the money. Sadly Harris and Blitzer don't care.

Cozens is signed till 2030 or something. LTIR was not solving that cap issue.

It could have been for any number of guys, Cozens like Zetterlund was just and example because we lost to Ottawa that night. The Senators are emboldened because they know they are believed in, the owners want to win. Staios got reinforcements, while Fitzgerald fiddled around til the end of the deadline. This is 2 years in a row.

The LTIR thing is just a glaring example that our owners don't care about winning. We gave up Hermann Traff , a prospect forecast to be a bottom 6 forward in the NHL and a 2nd Round pick to Anaheim for defenseman another ex Penguin, so Anaheim would retain 50% of BD's contract. Now we had more than enough space for his 3.15 million contract, we traded more assets so Blitzer and Harris could save money.

The signs are all over the place. We are mismanaged with owners that only care about making money, not winning. They want teams not Championships.

Great playoff style win yesterday! Our Captain with the hat trick and big #8 winning a fight, highlights a nice win.

Shout out to sweet mitts Paul Cotter who has quietly set a Devils record for hits.

Every point makes me feel better. I am now confident that they will be in the playoffs.

"Dont look now, but Devils are playing much better team hockey w/o Jack in the lineup..."

"Chance that Hamilton could be back soon. That ought to screw things up."

Without Jack and Dougie Fresh we are playing 500 hockey. Enough to limp into the playoffs, but just barely. We were on a pace for over 100 points earlier in the year, and now we'll be lucky to squeeze 92, which only gets us in cuz the rest of the conf is awful this year.

I get some of the criticism of Hams but nemec/choloski have been pretty lousy.

The return of dougie will be a boon.
Nemec has been playing pretty well. The D is playing well. Hamilton stinks on D & Hughes is much better on the power play point.
But they'll play Hamilton due to his contract & underserved positive reputation.

Nemec has been terrible. Benched multiple times for a 27 year old AHL level d-man playing his off hand.

Pretty sure he was benched in the 3rd after watching his man score the 2nd Minny goal last game.
