The same "safety" department that gave Canes defenseman NOTHING for a UFC style takedown of an opponent without a helmet, has suspended Paul Cotter 2 games for the Pelech accident yesterday. This is Cotter's first offense. Playing favorites as always, if he was still with Vegas he wouldn't even have had a hearing!
Dougie back tonight. Huge to get him back for playoffs!!
He's a bum--slow, soft, thinks he's a forward & gets caught up ice giving up odd man rushes at least a couple of times a game. Would rather have my grandmother back there. Oh yeah forgot, he coughs up the puck up in his own zone plenty.

The NHL once again shows they play favorites! By many accounts in Russia, Bread has a history of SA. They have him dead to rights here but NOTHING will happen.
Now notice the difference between this and last year with Foote, McLeod, Hart, and company. These accused players were immediately done, forever. This is even though no trial has taken place and they were teens at the time. If found guilty, throw the key away, but dammit be consistent and do the same for Bread!

The big difference is the Canadian players were charged with a crime, a heinous crime, which is why the trans released them.
I don’t see bread being released (rightfully so) with no charges.
Yes however if Bread didn't pay her off, or maybe another cretin named Dolan with similar history, she most likely would have gone to the cops. If you are truly against the deed, and not just the press you should be consistent. Sadly the NHL routinely plays favorites.
Again look at Carolina's Chatfield taking down the Capital McMichael UFC style with no penalty, without a helmet. If Conner McMichael's head hits the ice he may have died. Paul Cotter with no history accidently hits a bent over Pelech, with his weight on his outside leg. Clearly by accident, 2 games suspended, so now they can suspend him every year he's a Devil. I maintain this is the human element. Bettman loves original 6 teams and Sunbelt teams, so a Hurricane with a deliberate intent to injure act gets nothing, while a league despised team NJD gets 2 games for much less. My want is what we should get, Consistency!

Well that was a mess…not much different than their last 4 months
I looked up at one point they were getting outshot 32-8 or something like that. They are completely outmatched
Game winning goal was a shorty which made it 2-1 Canes , $hitty way to lose.
Another night, another effort that made an average goalie look like Hasek in his prime.
We still look like the smaller team out there.
Hey NHL nice no call on Burns' headbutt! If I'm Keefe MacDermid plays with orders to go after Burns and the Russian, ( I'm not even going to try to spell it, starts with S). Now honest question, can you literally see a NJD getting away with a headbutt in front of a ref like that? My over 35 years of Devils Fandom says it would NEVER happen! Not even close, the NHL doesn't even try to hide playing favorites.
In closing this all is on ownership! For 2 years not a penny of LTIR money spent. Teams like Tampa Bay and Vegas successfully bought Cups with the loophole.
I hope we get our first 4+ game winning streak starting Friday. Hope Springs Eternal!

GM Rutherford is lucky he tampered with the hated Devils, any other team and the Cunucks would definitely loose picks.

With the Devils fading, I told my son this series (Caps/Habs) and the Senators/Leafs are the ones I’ll be keeping an eye on.

Yeah, Bastian missing the net on that one was brutal. We just don't have enough true goal scorers.
Dougie contributed big time to the Canes second goal. Had the puck in his own zone with no pressure on him. Had two different Devils open with no Canes on either one. Dougie proceeded to fog the puck down the ice for an icing. We lost the subsequent face off in our end which led to a Canes goal.
Fading ? Fading? Was it over when the germans bombed Pearl harbor? It's not over until Yogi says it is over, after all he was a Devil fan.
