Yes. I lived in Cabot for 6 years. Awesome town for those starting a family. Wonderful people and churches.

Just know going in that if you’re not a hog fan, you’re basically subhuman to most of those Neanderthals. They’re Nebraska fans with significantly less of a point.

He’s closer to MSU so if he helps fill the stadium, so be it.

I’ve given up on MSU fans living in MS. Need to fill up neighboring states.

Good thing you aren't catholic otherwise you'd have to drive to little Rock for alcohol (unless that's changed). Nice beautiful place. Not much there other than fishing though other than some black bears.

Had a lot of customers in Maumelle and up towards Conway. Like both of those areas and good place for families as well.

I have family there. It’s a very nice place. I’d live there if I didn’t mind midwesterners. NASCAR seems to be big there too. The school is absolutely huge.

Little Rock more or less = Jackson if jackson grew and got it's sh_t together a good bit.

The communities nearby are probably very similar, with Little Rock having more of them and some being a little bigger.

I did notice the "if" in there.... but Little Rock is much nicer than Jackson ms. Madison and Rankin are as nice or nicer than saline and Lonoke counties but... proper... LR is much better.

Is anyone familiar with Cabot/Ward Arkansas area? Nice place to live?
We've been in Cabot since 2016, and about the only negative thing that I can say is that it's probably not for someone that's looking for nightlife or weekend events. However, it's a great community, it has a solid school system, and it's got some really good local spots for dining and shopping. Like everywhere else, property values have nearly doubled in the time I've been here, but it's still a very affordable place to find a house and/or land.

It's also only 25 minutes to Little Rock, so it's not difficult to head into town for shows or other things going on in the city

Truth. And it's sad because there was a time 20 years ago when they were roughly the same.

Little Rock invested in its downtown, Jackson did not. Of course LR still has some decent people inside the city limits running the show, or it did, back in those days.

I lived in Little Rock for several years. To me, the biggest difference between it and Jackson is that LR has tons of room to expand and even annex, and Jackson literally has none. Little Rock just expands westward when the shininess wears off an area. Jackson doesn’t have that luxury at all.

Plus, the state of Mississippi has shìt on Jackson throughout the years. No property taxes paid on State buildings for one thing. I have heard they’re the reason for Jackson’s lack of expansion opportunities, too. The white flight in the 70’s and 80’s was brutal.
