OT: Opening Day of Deer Season - Noxubee is closed

Anyone going to hunt anyway down there? It is "closed" but a large percentage of the roads are public access and through roads. I would think there is no one around to give you a ticket for hunting since they aren't at work.

My experience while I was up there said John Starr was where it was at. Had a couple spots on there that were almost criminally good for public land...

part is he shot the deer three times and it ran about 150 yards and was about to collapse when he heard a single shot. He went over to investigate and a young father with his 9 year old son were standing over the deer celebrating. Needless to say he didn't get to keep the deer but he was able to get a bunch of photo's with it. Didn't want to break the young boys heart.
