I think Tater Tot Masser upset the
potato basket when he implied that the Freeh Report "would be hard on Joe."
Long before the "independent" report was published and everyone had been assured that the BOT would have no advance info. LOL
Louis Freeh was a high priced ***** who took millions to produce "desired results." Just my "opinion."

He does not. Though earlier in the book he describes the initial call to Delany to discuss instant replay to which it is implied that Delany's reaction was less than enthusiastic.

"Because college football was not supposed to be so high stakes (as professional), … an errant call here and there wasn't supposed to be such a big deal."

We all know how that turned out.

Disclaimer: That there may be any correlation between this and the "Paterno grudge" is purely my speculation.
Sounds like Delaney. Not a big deal if we continuously make bad calls against Penn state. Your supposed to take it

I do think the old man embarrassed the league into video reviews. Of course we then saw bad video reviews in multiple games or no use of video reviews at all - OSU and Michigan games stand out but we had similar fun while playing Nebraska (of course we were lucky to be playing at all, hmm...wonder who else shared that mentality?).

It's funny, as soon as I read about the grudge against Paterno, my first thought was instant replay. Joe embarrassed the Big by advocating for instant replay. The bad calls that had mounted against PSU became extremely difficult to ignore, especially when a 70 year old Joe ran down the Refs after that Iowa game.....I wonder if Joe threatened to hold a Press Conference with all of the screw jobs playing in the background to discuss the necessity for replay....
