if you believe that Iran actually had good intentions and no ill will with their nuke program, then ok. Otherwise, let’s look at recent events. The US has drawn lines in the sand that have been moved frequently and used words like “don’t, just don’t” and then act disappointed when the receiving country “just did.” Then we put little flags of the country that was attacked in our Bio and front lawns for years on end. It seems that diplomacy and sanctions etc have been going on for years, why am I to believe they were suddenly going to to the table due to more of that?

I think the majority of people would agree Iran does not need nukes. Not sure anybody wants boots on the ground or country building. I think Trump is smart enough to do what is right. As far as the shtf scenarios, I could see violent protests or even terrorist attacks popping off. I'm sure the Guard will quell most of that if it gets bad enough. Trump won't let it it expand into civil war. If it came to that tho I'm down for it

Hopefully what is left of the Iranian military joins the people of Iran in removing what’s left of the repressive mullah regime.
It will never happen until other muslims force the issue. Which means it will never happen.

That’s all fine… the OP’s questions just makes it sound like he expects people to have to make a decision on picking up arms and fighting. I just don’t see things getting to that level for your average American. But I could be reading too much into his “defend the USA” option. He may mean simply not protest against the military.

I understand his frustration. This current administration, early on, pushed me dangerously far to the left. However, seeing protests and straight up disrespect for the country/flag/police/etc., keeps me pretty grounded. I do wonder how many of our citizens would act when the metal meets the meat.

After all these years, I still don't understand disrespect of the flag. Whether it's Kapernick or a burning (within our own borders) at a protest. I have nothing for those people and do not care about them....at all.

Respect the flag first and foremost (and not the actual fabric nimrods, but what it stands for), and then we all can talk about how to make things better. But that respect needs to be there first, from all of us.
