My wife and I watched Pee Wee's Playhouse every Saturday morning after being out late on Friday nights, usually at the Melody. Was just a funny, quirky, and sweet show for kids and grown-ups. One can debate whether he should've been yanking it in a porno theater, but there's no doubt that spending police resources on such investigations was a complete waste of taxpayer money.
