Hard to believe its been over 30 years since that game. Man the Pitino years were so fun.Saw him in Charlotte at the 93 NCAA game. Still one of the greatest UK experiences I ever experienced.
Perhaps the greatest first half of college basketball ever played.
Go watch it on YouTube.
I remember the t'shirts that came out after that game. "Can't see the Forest for the Three's"Saw him in Charlotte at the 93 NCAA game. Still one of the greatest UK experiences I ever experienced.

They really were.Hard to believe its been over 30 years since that game. Man the Pitino years were so fun.
Damn that is sad. I hate when people get such a good life or any life for that matter taken away due to a terrible illness or injury. I’m happy he got a decent amount of time to live afterward, but I know it doesn’t seem that long now that the time has passed. R.I.P. big fella.![]()

Yeah college was so stacked back then.He was part of one of my favorite draft classes ever in 1993:
Chris Webber
Shawn Bradley
Penny Hardaway
Jamal Mashburn
J.R. Rider
Bobby Hurley
Calbert Cheaney
Allan Houston
Vin Baker
Rodney Rogers
Sam Cassell
Rogers and most of those guys (Mashburn, Hardaway, Webber, Houston, Rogers, Montross) played against the 1992 Dream Team and beat them. Bobby Hurley and Grant Hill were also on that practice squad.

Also, consider the guys who returned to college for another year following 1993.Yeah college was so stacked back then.
Some of the greatest basketball for college and pros ever IMHO. Even low scoring NBA games because they were wars. Also, consider the guys who returned to college for another year following 1993.
Jason Kidd
Glen Robinson
Grant Hill
Jalen Rose
Juwan Howard
Eddie Jones
Donyell Marshall
Eric Montross
Brian Grant
The early-to-mid nineties were absolutely loaded.
