Heartbreaking! He was such a phenomenal player whose life was tragically altered after the ATV accident. RIP and prayers to his family.

Was the foil to Mashburn 1993. Similar style. Great college player.
Saw him in Charlotte at the 93 NCAA game. Still one of the greatest UK experiences I ever experienced.

Hard to believe its been over 30 years since that game. Man the Pitino years were so fun.
I remember the t'shirts that came out after that game. "Can't see the Forest for the Three's"
That was a great half of basketball, but nothing comes close to the first half at LSU in 1996.

Damn that is sad. I hate when people get such a good life or any life for that matter taken away due to a terrible illness or injury. I’m happy he got a decent amount of time to live afterward, but I know it doesn’t seem that long now that the time has passed. Some of the greatest basketball for college and pros ever IMHO. Even low scoring NBA games because they were wars.
He was a really good player. I’ll never forget that game in 93. The Roger’s-Mashburn matchup was the talk. UK put on an absolute clinic and the game was pretty much decided by the 10 minute mark in the 1st half. I didn’t realize that he was paralyzed. RIP Rodney Rogers
