OT: Skoreit.com - Anyone tried it out?

I got tired of watching that douchebag from Columbus, OH tell me about all the **** he won.... so I decided to stop by skoreit.com and check it out.

The concept of how they actually make money is pretty unique (and by unique, I mean your typical Northeast scam)... I was given 16 free bids for creating an account, but that doesn't seem like enough to even try and win anything.

For those that haven't checked it out, here's how it works... You purchase bidpaks and then use the bids to bid on items. For instance, you can big on a $50 gift card to wal-mart and the bid starts at 0.01 and goes until someone wins.... the catch is that once you bid, you lose that bid. So if you by 120 bids for 75$ and you use all 120 and then someone outbids you, you've basically just lost your 75$. So it's almost like gambling....

Just curious if anyone has had any luck. I'm going to use my 16 bids, but I have no desire to put any money into this thing.

Because Skoreit allows bidders to bid past the value of the item you are bidding on and their are some 17tards on their that will be $1000.00 over just to say they won it. Every now and then you get lucky and score some items for cheap but you have to make sure you aren't bidding against any 17tards. I like Quibids.com because you can't bid past the value of the item. This gives you a better chance at winning good products for cheap if you time it just right. I won an Ipad for $43 bucks plus $40 in bids and shipping so it ended up costing me $80 bucks for a brand new Ipad. It's hard to beat that.

I tried beezid or something like that with some free bids and everytime it got within seconds of closing, someone else would bid, and the clock would reset and count down again. And you could go on for a while like that, the clock resetting on last second bids, over and over. Not like ebay where the auction ends when it is scheduled to end, and if you sneak a bid in with 10 seconds left you can win it right then. It occurred to me that on beezid you could spend $250 on bids and never win anything. I thought about trying some middle-of-the night auction to see if there would be less competition, but never did.

Folks set up autobid and it keeps ging until either that idiot runs out if bids or folks give up. Some mess up and have 2 autobiddrs in the same auction and they both go until one outlasts the other.
