When you were slamming Doggystyle album in the mid 90’s could you have ever imagined in 2025 there would be a Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl on the bowl schedule?

You show me somebody who doesn't like Snoop, i'll show you somebody I can't take serious and have no interest in knowing. That guy rules.

I do think its kinda weird how the world collectively decided to forget he produced several porn flicks in the early 2000's and instead just rubber stamped him to Al Roker status.
I think he was a pimp too but no one cared. It really is amazing.

I’m not a fan…..but I’m an anti-stoner. I’m still amazed that a guy that looks as squirrelly as he does has had the success he has had. I guess kudos to him. I’m all for people making money. I’m just not a fan of people glorifying being stoned.

No..I never thought white America would be so weak with guilt.
No. This isn’t a guilt play, plenty of “victims” out there that could have been named, this guy’s loved by just about everyone, it’s a commercial play, in an industry that, outside of the playoffs, is dying.

So people that like him have to be stoners? No. I don’t do the lettuce, but I love snoop, even though I’m not a rap guy. He’s different, there isn’t any doubt about it. It’s only entertainment, if you’re mature enough.

This would be like saying if you listened to metal that you were a "devil worshiper"

I love 5-10 snoop songs and I have tried pot once...a gummy.

I also love metal.

With that said, I have to logoff now, I am heading off to a Black Mass where we are FINALLY sacrificing a virgin so that we can full accept Satan into our hearts.

Snoop’s career really took off when he realized he had a universal appeal to his personality. He leaned into that and the rest is history. Good on him for having a big vision of what was possible.

He went political? ****, I must have missed that.
Him and Trump were good friends prior to Trump ever getting into politics. Trump gets into politics and Snoop Dogg calls him Hitler. They're back to being friends today though... Smh

Snoop cave to the woke crowd and then jumped back out.

Dr Dre 'made' Snoop. Snoop had a lot of help musically.

That’s true of most musicians. They’re mostly entertainers selling a concept. Some are quite good at it. And there is also so much unbelievable musical talent out there that never sees the light of day for one reason or another. It’s crazy

This times a MILLION. I've always laughed at this take from people. I've listened to rap/hip hop since the early 80s. I go back to Run DMC, Melle Mel, Fat Boys, Whoodini LL, etc. Anyways those guys or the Snoop, Pac, Nas, Jay Z and many others I could name NEVER had that kinda influence to me.

I always thought it was over played. Did I do bsome bad things ? Sure I did but it wasn't because "snoop" or whoever else did it. Those guys were simply entertmennt. I'm not sure how it all got tied together honestly.

When we watched Rambo or Terminator on the big screen we didn't blame Stallone or Arnold for violence . It was just a movie that entertained us.

There was a time that I smoked weed. But best believe it wasn't because "Snoop made me do it " lol. Other stuff I've done that I wouldn't even talk about but it wasn't because of some random rapper, TV show or comedian. To me that was always an excuse.

"Made" ? That's kinda funny. Dr Dre produced Snoops early music. That is a far cry from "making" someone. Snoop was definitely a talented person who shined and stood out amongst his peers. Dre produced tons of people but saying he made Snoop would be taking away from that guy.

Dre would produce tons of other artist who wouldn't nearly have the success that Snoop did. Why couldn't he "make" them?

Dre definitely HELPED Snoop.. Made is way over the top.

Use to like him, but his schtick has kind of become tiresome…same exact persona for 35 years is tiresome. Think what some of us gen-x’ers find appealing is the nostalgia. At this point, I’m bored with it.

I think Dr. Dre could have done some miracles with Sgt. Murtaugh, he lacked some skills but Dre could have made him big!

It isn’t that he made anyone do anything, but there is zero doubt he influenced millions in not a good way. It didn’t influence you because you were mature enough, or came from a stable enough environment. He glorified gangsta life and for kids / young men without good role models, he became one, in the same way athletes are idolized. He didn’t make anyone do anything, but he sure made bad things look good to wayward souls.
