Funny story that came from that and I'm notrying sure whether it is fact or lore, AfterMarshall came to the bench realizing his blunder his coach said at least you threw the ball out of bounds giving the 49er's only 2 points. Bill Buckner passed away earlier in the week at just 69 years old. He was obviously most famous for the error in game six of the 1986 World Series (despite being one helluva ballplayer)....

I was rooting for the Mets and it was a great series. Not a Mets fan ( White Sox), but liked that group for NY. I always said Schraldi choked that one away, the game was already tied after blowing a 3 run lead in the 9th when Buckner put the nail in the coffin.
