Michael Jordan holds the highest scoring average for a career in the NBA, while Wilt Chamberlain holds the highest scoring average for a single season in the NBA.

Who holds these records for the ABA. 1.) Career scoring average ABA 2.) Single season scoring average ABA.

I didn't show up in time for the Carl Lewis trivia question. But I gotta add in one snippet about a sports franchise trying to recruit the skill-set of an Olympic athlete. In 1996, the Atlanta Braves had Jan Zelezny come down and workout with the team a little bit as a pitcher. Zelezny, for those who may not be aware, is the world record holder in the Javelin & he's a two-time gold medalist.

Louie Dampier for all-time - pretty positive on that one...... Dr J for single season?
Louie Dampier is the all time scorer and assist leader, but for total points, not for his career average. Dr. J. does not hold the single season scoring average.

I have no clue why the information I had did not count Rick Barry's seasons. From What I see he should be at the top of the list for both. So, Beer Poisioning is up.

The Book I have, listed Dr. J. for career average, and Charlie Scott for season, but Barry tops each.

Haha did you guys even verify who posted Rick Barry?

Rick Barry

I'm going to go ahead and ask the question, even though I wasn't acknowledged for having the correct answer :)

Most people know that Boeheim and Coach K are the longest tenured coaches in college basketball. Who is the third longest tenured head coach in Men's D1 Basketball?

Edit: And just for clarification, I mean coaching at the same school, not just total years as a head coach.

I remember seeing the name and I know it wasn’t any household name... But I still don’t remember it. — Thanks for going @dukedevilz I hadn’t checked back because I was originally wrong, I didn’t say Barry’s name anyway though.

I cheated and looked it up. Whoever gets this is a sports trivia genius and I'm not worthy to compete with you. OFC

Now that it’s established he’s in the Horizon, I’m pretty sure he coaches at Oakland U. in Michigan. I won’t get his name, though.

You've been the closest, so I'll give the nod to you. Greg Kampe has been the coach since the 84-85 season.

In 34 years of the NBA draft lottery, the San Antonio Spurs have been in it just three times. Name their three picks. (Two are easy.)

He's had some good teams this decade. Beat Michigan State a few years ago when they were a top 5 team, I believe. And he's had two guys drafted in the second round in the last 10 years (Keith Benson and Kay Felder). If you watch Oakland play on tv, it's almost impossible to go the entire game w/o hearing the announcers cite Kampe's 30+ year tenure at the school.

I guess I can stick with the NBA draft lottery theme. Who were the first three lottery picks for the Grizzlies? The three players were all drafted in the first three years of the team's existence.
