Blyleven is correct. He was actually only with the Pirates for three seasons. The majority of his career was spent in Minnesota.

The Astro staff question brought back good memories, as my White Sox beat them in 2005 for the title, and I was at game 2 which Pettitte started.

Game 2 ended with the rare World Series walk off home run. Who hit that walk off home run to end that classic game 2 in 2005?

Konerko did hit a grand slam, that was a moment even more electric in the park then the walk off to give them the lead. The Astros tied it in the top of the 9th, and the least threatening power guy in their lineup walked them off going yard in the bottom of the 9th.

I'll switch the question. It was the speedy Scott Podsednek, who did not have a single home run during the regular season in just under 600 at bats ( it was his 2nd HR of the post season though).

The pitching triple crown consists of wins, ERA, and strikeouts. Only twice in MLB history has each league had a pitching triple crown winner in the same season. The last time being 2011.

Who were the two pitchers to accomplish the pitching triple crown, one NL and one AL in the same year ( 2011) .

After Payne Stewart’s dad passed which UNC ex player did he hire as his swing coach?
Hint - He was greatest amateur player in the history of N.C.

Hoops only golfer I can imagine is a guy who punted for UNC in addition to playing golf there. Its a longshot, but I know Davis Love III was too young and active on regular tour. Like I say a longshot but I will guess Johnny Elam. OFC

Harvie Ward from Tarboro. If you are ever looking for a great book read Mark Frost’s
“ The Match..The Day the Game Changed Forever”
It is the story of Hogan , Ward , Venturi and Bryon Nelson playing a round at the coast of California.
You are up. I will be away from computer for a while.

Well hoops thanks, I certainly did not earn it- but I will throw out a question. The 6th game of the '75 WS is most rememebered for Carlton Fisk's 12th inning homer that gave the Red Sox a 7-6 win over Cincinnati.

Who's HR for Boston in the 8th inning set the stage for Fisk's heroics? It was a 3 run dinger that tied the game at 6....

Two parter with two parts.

Part 1. Who holds the career on base percentage in MLB and what is it?
Part 2. Who holds the career 3 point percentage at Duke and what is it?
