He was mic ed up for a game earlier this year and it was ROUGH. huddles were ROUGH. what made it worse was Sean Miller was also mic ed up for Xavier on the other side. One coach was playing chess the other was playing Candyland.

I felt uncomfortable watching that game. It was so cringey

For those who missed it, why was it rough?
There was a lot of silence and guys staring at each other. And generic coach speak like "we gotta hustle!" , "we gotta play defense", "now is our time to turn it on" stuff like that.

They won’t extend this by poking around for long. One call to Rick Pitino and the whole thing will be done in 15 seconds.

He actually recruited pretty well, and got a lot of energy from his players. There was nothing that resembled an organized, planned offense. Literally as if the kids were in the school yard. Many. many games lost in the last minute, and often no good shot taken. All that said, I think he has the longest streak of non-losing season in the country...for whatever that is worth. I think if Pitino comes in with the existing talent, they are a tournament team.

Presuming Pitino leaves Iona , . I wonder if Brandin Knight is considered for the Iona HC gig.
I wondered the same thing. Or Van Macon, who is now the assistant HC at St. John’s if Pitino takes that gig and doesn’t keep the existing staff.
