We are about to book the flight for our family vacation to Disney World in September. Looking at the prices on SouthWest I can pay about 759$ for 3 roundtrip tickets. If i'm using points it shows it would be 41,580 points. They sell the points at .01$ each. Meaning i could pay 420$ and purchase 42,000 points and cover the entire flight. Am i missing a "catch" here?

Are you sure you can just call them up and buy them? Keep in mind, SW charges like you're buying two direct tickets - not round trip. So, if it's 10K points for one person, one way, it would essentially be 60K points.

(3 People * 2 flights) = 6 tickets * 10K points per ticket = 60K points.

Well... After i signed in it changed to .0275 per point. I guess it was just showing as an example 1000 points was 10$. It had a drop down box that gave you the 1000 point increments up to 60,000 points at 600$. I knew it sounded too good to be true.
