After the game last night after the game it was about 9:45 I was pissed! as were 99% of the fans exiting the Dude. Well my parents who are in their mid 60's and I were looking for some were to grab a bite to eat. Well, **** it's Sunday night in Starksvegas every thing is shut down tighter than dicks hat ban, because its 10:00. 17! I was pissed! What can be done about this? Thank you Sonic for being open. Yes, I know I misspelled Starksville.

If you were in the Big City, you would have had so many more options at 10pm on a Sunday night! Like Krystals and Waffle House! Hooray!

Well if they'd had more than about a week's notice they may have been able to redo all the schedules and opened on a night they normally would be closed. I'm sure they probably wanted the dollars.

It's a shame you aren't clever enough to eat before a 7pm baseball game.

Speaking of Krystal's. I thought it was pretty ****** of the SPD to walk the drive thru line doing sobriety tests. Talk about entrapment. I don't know where we found a sober driver that night, but thankfully we did. For reference it was spring game weekend of 94.

If you went to school there or are familiar with the town you should have known everything would have been closed.

Welcome to Starkvegas.

Just for the sake of discussion, exactly what Megalopolis do you reside in currently?

You know, just for context of what it is you are accustomed to having available to you on Sunday nights at 10 PM.

17ing apologists! Would everything be shut down in Oxford?

Dude, you can't even buy cold beer in Oxford. And if I'm not mistaken, there are still no Sunday sales. After 10PM (especially on Sundays in the summer) most establishments in small town Mississippi are shut down. Sorry that you drank too many wine coolers at the game and got the munchies.

You guys that were in school circa 99-03 like me remember that Starkville Cafe used to be open 23 hours a day. Spent many of 3 a.m.s eating breakfast there.

But being surprised that things are closed at 10 pm on Sunday night? That's normal.

Here on the Coast, all the casinos and most of the bars on the beach or Hwy 90 are open at 10pm on Sunday. You should've have checked into the Beau and got room service. Or plopped those parents on a stool with a big ol' sack of quarters and let them feed the slots. Free drinks when they're gambling. Need to give them surgical masks to filter out the larger chunks of tobacco from the constant smoke plume. Could probably get pops a hooker, too. I'm just saying...

Shame on them for trying to identify potential murderers behind the wheel of a vehicle.

Police should have reason to suspect drunk driving before they make drivers perform sobriety tests.

I am all for them pulling people over that are driving erratically. Sitting in a stopped car in a drive thru, on its own, is no reason to make someone perform a sobriety test.

Your comment, though valid in spite of its sarcasm, allows too much leeway.

On the other hand, if you're at the Krystal drive-through at 1:30 AM, wouldn't that be probable cause by itself?**

Seriously, completely agree. Tactics like that should be illegal.

While most people are railing your *** in this thread, I agree with you to an extent. If I were a restaurateur, I would have to foresight to keep my restaurant open a lot later on certain weekends. Sometimes I feel as if business owners don't like to make money.
