Scotch tape - I've finally beaten my wife out of buying the cheapest crap out there if she wants any help wrapping presents

Cheerios - none of that other off brand crap is close

Ruffles - I can skip french onion dip with any other chip, but Ruffles are uniquely the best and I will eat them until they disappear

Heinz - not even a close second

Great call on Cheetos, and I’ll throw cheese Doritos in there too. I don’t know what it is about knockoff chips, but aside from some occasional potato chips, there aren’t may that are even close to the name brand.

Another one that I always seem to run into is stuff you use around the kitchen. Ziplock bags, aluminum foil, disposable plates… Either the product itself is junk or else the dispenser for stuff like plastic wrap is complete crap

It's usually not much cheaper, but whataburger is my cheaper alternative to Heinz.

Charmin Ultra Strong

Just because it’s in a red package doesn’t mean it’s the real thing. Keep that store brand sandpaper away from my аsshole.

Umm, I believe he said Cheerios, not Cheetos. But, you're not wrong, unless, you haven't tried the Great Value Cheetos. Those are pretty dang solid, when you can find them which seems to be only occasionally.

American Cheese slices

I don't understand how you can that eat that fake stuff, its not even allowed in the Peeper household. It shouldn't be called cheese, from AI:

  • Pasteurized Prepared Cheese Product: A legally unregulated term for products that may fall below the 51% cheese threshold or contain extra additives like milk protein concentrate and emulsifying agents.

Which garden hose brand to you recommend. Because the one I used to go to now sucks.
Flexzilla. Best damned hose I’ve ever owned. Light weight, 5/8 ID, stays pliable in cold weather, and the wife damn near can’t tie it in knots every time she waters her plants. Expensive but well worth it.

We use the Great Value brand sandwich bags…definitely Ziplock for quart and up.
We also use their 13-gallon trash bags.
We were using their butter, but they changed suppliers this fall, and the new stuff is mostly water.

The wife brought some Boulder brand bags home from Aldi, they are better than ZipLocks I think. They are thicker is the difference

Whichever hose I buy, I plan for it to last just 1 season.
It can claim to be HD or abrasion proof or kinkproof - if it lasts more than 1 season, I feel like I won. My current ones just finished 2 seasons and I am downright shocked.

Doesnt matter if its some TrueValue house brand, or a Flexhose, or retractable PocketHose(still the worst name ever), or any other hose that is fancy as 17 with its connection or hose 'tech'. I swear it is all built to last just long enough to piss you off for not lasting longer.

Same goes for watering wands and nozzle sprayers. I can baby one and it will still end the season leaking down my arm and not spraying on at least 2 of the settings.

I have two water hoses that were left by the previous owner when we bought our house 13 years ago. I don’t know what they are made out of but it’s the greatest water hoses ever because I use them all the time.

This I did not expect once, much less twice. Who knew sixpackers had such dainty and delicate ears (or whatever else you use q-tips for). Do I just not realize what I've been missing with the gloriousness that is name brand q-tips?
Go buy the name brand today and throw away the garbage with plastic middle. Complete trash

I’ll add, peanut butter to the list

Coca Cola
Here's something I dont understand about Coke. Now, the recipe for Coke syrup is kind of the gold standard for protected trade secrets. They dont let it out, and they would successfully sue the pants off anyone who leaked it, as well as those who received it.

But you have to believe the guys at Pepsi, and other soft drink makers, know exactly what is in Coca Cola. They could duplicate it, they just choose to have their own flavor instead. Right?

I think Big K Soda could make a lot of money with a carbon copy Coca Cola drink....Just dont put it in bottles with a certain distinctive shape.
