OT: This is the worst SNL in a long time.

Gotta agree with you. I didn't crack a smile once. Not a sports thread though. I see a lock in our future.

when they were trying too hard to be funny. It happens to me all the time. Often times on here.

They need another Will Ferrell. Someone that you look at and you laugh.

The writing is atrocious. The only thing keeping it afloat these days is the political satire, but even that has been mediocre. The '89-'92 crew and the '96-'00 crew would have knocked that **** (Palin, Obama, Bush, Chaney, Pelosi, etc.) out of the park. You know it's bad when the audience doesn't laugh.

These days, unless they have a funny guest it's not worth watching. MadTV level. It's a shame really.

Keep Wiig, Samberg, Heder and Forte...dump everyone else...and get some new freaking writers.

They've been pretty good about Obama. I liked the opening skit after Obama's 1st 100 days in office. Their Obama skit guy sat in front of the camera and went over Obama's list of campaign promises for the 1st 100 days (health care, closing Gitmo, ending the war, etc) and made laughs over the fact that Obama had accomplished absolutely nothing.

And the Telemundo thing might have been funny if every other skit wasn't some hispanic parody.

His big ears, his thin skin, his over-reliance on a teleprompter (something with he and Michelle in bed with the teleprompter feeding him lines would be funny). As for the one parody they DID do of him, I bet Rahm Emanuel probably sent the writers a Dead Fish in the mail, threatening that they'll be sleeping with them if they didn't cut it out.

I guess we'll have to wait until Sarah Palin is President, for SNL to take on political comedy again.

That show is definitely hit or miss. Some funny stuff, and some stuff that makes you think "what the hell was that?" As to be expected, I guess.

The Prius racing cars commercial cracked me up too. "I'm getting 63 miles per gallon!!"
