It's just a shame when someone so young, who has such a bright future, is caught in the middle of other peoples stupidity and pays the ultimate price. The people responsible need to never see the light of day for their acts.

Some individuals in our society today absolutely do not deserve the freedoms and equal protection under the law that they are currently taking advantage of. There is a segment of our society that are no better or worse than a pack of wild rabid dogs that need to be permanently removed from our city streets. Prayers for the family of that innocent young lady.
Horrible, horrible tragedy. But nothing ever good happens when you are out at 4am (or even 2am).

I want to agree with you. But 1) don't politicize such a tragic event, and 2) I think the difference is this is individuals shooting at other individuals, where as what you are referencing is when blacks are shot by police, and police are supposed to be the protectors of individuals. Now you can discuss whether or not blacks are shot a disproportionate amount by police when considering black crime rates, but that is another issue which belongs on the Paddock (not the basketball board).

I'm assuming the felon under supervision will get a more harsh penalty.
Also assuming they're all snitches and will be rewarded accordingly.

Yeah, that pisses me off too. At least the first guy, dvonta, is getting possession of a firearm, which is a C felony and carries 10 years. It would be nice if found guilty, that the sentences could be consecutive.

You have no idea what 'crowd' she was with. And I'll stop you before you say 'the kind that shoots at each other from cars.' There is no indication she was there with them or in any way connected to the shooters.
I'm assuming that they are just waiting until they have enough evidence to charge a particular person with murder. I assume 1st degree murder is out since the shooter probably didn't know the victim/wasn't aiming for her. Like I said in the other thread, that seems messed up, lesser sentence because you accidentally shot an innocent person while trying to shoot someone else. I really don't know how any of this will play out.

Who said she was with a crowd at all? We all know what you're getting at. She was there because she was there. Could have been with her mom, could have been a late night church group trip, could have been with the annual meeting of the Lexington chapters of the Crips and Bloods. Since you or I don't know any of this, you can go on and stop worrying about why she was at a perfectly legal establishment during a time at which said establishment was open.
I think that's only question anybody really wants to know.

Did anyone ever stop to think that maybe she was up early and getting ready to go somewhere? Or was coming in from an out of town event? Or maybe had been up all night trying to help a friend? Or any other million or so possibilities that don't really matter one iota?

I don't think they know who hit her. They said each one confessed to firing multiple shots, yet all 3 plead not guilty, so wtf.
I know you say Heisman in a negative fashion - so what of this dudes post is so terrible? The guys had a shootout at a fast food joint and killed a 15 year old girl who sounds like she had a great future ahead of her. They had zero care or respect for anything, no care for human life...I don't think there is a name bad enough to call them.
