Temple scored first (FG), but Tulsa roars back with a TD to take the lead, 7-3. Hadn’t realized that Kevin Wilson, former IU coach and OC at Ohio State is now Tulsa’s HC.

Oh that is so true. The comments made at times would make a 20 year lifer blush.
I joined back then because my wife was pissed about hearing on the internet how much our team sucked. She said- you better respond to who the F said that about ......

There were a couple of posters back then- can't remember who they were- made personal attacks at players. And if we had fans between 05-09 attacking players and the team, it really showed their true colors.

Remember it well back then. Many times people screaming at Mike Teel a sophomore . Fans going on the board and calling out various players …Screaming at Schiano … We are very fortunate to be where we are In this B1G conference.

Shame on those on the political board they crap on NYC.

Why? NYC deserves all the crap it's getting. My wife was a NYC brat, but she refuses to go in anymore unless it can't be avoided.

Oh, we had some nasty pieces of work back then.

I can't remember but I don't think that there was a train horn back then.

For some reason, can't put my finger on it, I think there was a band or something that played music between plays and during halftime.

All time worst for the train horn didn't happen to the football team. 2018 Rutgers - Penn St. lacrosse game. After a goal the horn sounded. And then it did not stop. Ready for the face off and it would not stop. Big 10 network breaks for a commercial and then comes back. And the horn still is blaring. And continued for about 12-15 minutes. Needless to say, no more horn at that game.

after he does the impossible and wins the super bowl in Detroit, I can imagine his alma mater (Texas A&M) making him the highest paid coach in college football, because the oil daddies can throw money around that way and he's a sure thing.

Ill tell you
I consider myself as loyal a fan as most here, but if RU would have wound up as an independent, or in a league where it would be impossible to be a national power, I would have been tempted to
give up season tickets, or at least put my interest on the back burner

Even when we had the Shea and Ash years, we still could turns things around and matter, despite the direction we headed

The same held true with the Little page and Jordan years in basketball

The AAC will never Get you to where you want to go, and my fandom really tested if I knew that being relevant in that league is still not getting you there

Seriously? NYC has changed very little in my observation, as we go in regularly and to various locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn. World's greatest city still, IMO. And several of our friends think likewise.

Sad that some fail to see the reality of what has happened in many areas of NYC . It depends on where exactly you are going in NYC that is certainly true but to say it hasn’t changed much is blatantly false and actually more troubling. Anything for a cause is now the accepted mantra of many who would be out of their minds if things were reversed. It seems the good mayor of NYC Adams feels much differently.

Yes, seriously.
I work there, it's become a big ******** and only the myopic don't think so. there are more bums, drug use in broad daylight and in nicer areas, more beggars, it's dirty again, theft and crime are up and the list goes on. NYC is one giant **** stain. Just wait as the protests and burgeoning crime have companies rethinking their wfh policies given the most recent events with some of the banks' employees.

I do love the city still, it's the Mecca of the world however, it's most certainly in decline under recent leadership
