New one on Paramount +: MobLand, Guy Ritchie product starring Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan. & Helen Mirren. Weekly episode first one is out now. Also Dark Winds continues to be a great series.
I really liked it. Hardy was outstanding. Brosnan was good; Mirren played crazy too well.

Hopefully it gets renewed. Paddy Considine (Viserys Targaryen in House of The Dragon) was also great. And the guy who plays Eddie (Anson Boon) was also great. He plays a prick along the lines of Joffrey Lannister or Ramsey Bolton.

Fixed?

I was really surprised to learn that jimmy page and jp jones played on Goldfinger intro track.
Also, Robert Plants voice is super distinctive. The first video of him singing could be no one else.

I stumbled upon Dept. Q earlier this week, on Netflix. It was captivating, and I binged it over a couple of days (there are 9 episodes).

It's based on a 10-book series by Danish writer Jussi Adler-Olsen. I believe Season 1 (all that has been shown) is one of the books.

When finishing the last episode, I was chomping at the bit to watch Season 2. Alas, so far there has been no official announcement as to whether there will be additional seasons. But with the popularity of the show on Netflix, and there being more books from which to create screenplays, it seems likely.

I'd give it a 4.9 rating on a 5-star rating basis.

Found it as well - it’s in the queue. Have heard great things!

Sinners now streaming on MAX. Supposed to be good. Has my hero, Josh Allen’s wife, in it too!

Well IMO, this film was waaaay overhyped and it’s not bad but nowhere near what some critics are
saying. A bizarre vampire tale. It ain’t no From Dusk Till Dawn and no Selma Hayek either!

Dept Q was interesting, but I thought they milked it a bit much. Could have cut a couple episodes and edited it down to move faster.

I think there’s a bit of that going on - movies are out of style, and so are the 20+ episode tv shows, so now they try to get 8-13 episodes out of 4-8 episodes worth of material.

Good writing can make it tolerable. This show was definitely a good watch, but could have been great by tidying it up a bit.

Your first paragraph applies to just about every limited series nowadays.

Informative short video about environmental issues surrounding Alligator Alcatraz.

Rebekah Jones, a climate scientist and former scientist for the Florida Health Department—who became a whistleblower after refusing to manipulate COVID data—on the alarming reality of the ICE prison Alligator Alcatraz. From no preparedness for a hurricane response, to the facilities already falling apart, this is a "death trap" just waiting to happen,

If you're a Bosch fan, a spin-off series is now available on Prime called Ballard. It's pretty good so far.
Ballard is 100% Tomatometer. We’ll take it in. Our binges are all concluding at the same time so I was going to ask the wife if she minded going through Bosch again. Ballard will serve nicely.

Just finished Dept Q, it worked. Unbelievable coincidence of a plot twist explained away easily, good job.
