My wife and I are going to Vegas for 4 nights next week. The only time I have every been is on my bachelor party, and let's just say things will be different this time. The Pack gave me good advise last time, so I thought I would ask again.

Details:
Going Wednesday thru Sunday
Staying at Caesars Palace
Budget: 2000 not including room or flight
Not big gamblers but do enjoy low minimum tables
Wife's first time in Vegas
Shows?
Food?
Club or no club?
Bars?

Thanks in advance,

Caesars is my "home" casino in Vegas these days. I can offer these suggestions:

1. Club? Pure is right there in Ceasars. The Pussycat dolls perform (and deal table games) in the casino area just outside of Pure. Nice scenery but be discreet with the wife around.
I'm not a club guy, but XS in Encore gets good reviews.
2. Shows? Depends on what you want to spend. Seinfeld? Elton John? Cirque De Solei? Check out a tickets-for-less (or some such name) location for discounted show tickets. I think one location is across the street from CP near Bill's. They open at 9 am but get there early as a line forms quickly.
3. Bars? Walk over to the Cosmo from CP (Take the Bellagio tram or cab it) to the Chandelier Bar.
4. Food? So many choices. You really can't go wrong. Prime, Range in Harrahs, Mesa Grill in CP, so many choices. If you are a buffet person, CP's buffet is closed for renovation now.
5. Pools? Great place at CP but drinks are about $20 at the pool. Get there early for a chair.
6. Low-limit tables? You better play before the weekend because you will not find low minimums at CP before the weekend. Tough to find good gambling options on the Strip. Your 2k will go quickly if not careful.
7. Head across the street to Planet Hollywood if you want a young, high-energy vibe at night. Dancers will have your head spinning like a top.
8. The spa (Qua) at CP is top notch and if you are a workout person, the fitness center is awesome.

I would highly recommend seeing a Cirque De Solei show. I have seen "The O" and "Mystere," and both were awesome. I don't think you can wrong with any one you may chose.

I would also recommend going down to Freemont one night. This is kinda like the "mini-strip," and the older part of the city. They usually have a band playing, and it's always a good time.

Of course, if you like Pawn Stars, it is pretty cool to go there to check out the people and things you see on TV. I've been two years and didn't see the crew either time. If you want to see the crew on tv, I believe they are in the store from 9-12, I think.

A few other things: Grand Canyon trip (takes a while to get there but it is worth it if you have never been) and Price is Right show at Ballys was entertaining and relatively cheap

ETA: this was supposed to be broken up into paragraphs but I'm on iPhone. I hope this helps!

Lots of folks will suggest some of the huge clubs like Tryst or Tao, but unless you're up for elbow to elbow dancing and $20 drinks, I'd recommend staying away. Though the view from Mix in Mandalay Bay is absolutely awesome.

The one suggestion I've made to lots of other couples going for a fun trip is go to Peppermill Restaurant on the north end of the strip and sit in the fireside lounge for a few drinks. It's not the type place a bunch of horndogs go for a bachelor's party and it's old school Vegas. It was in a scene in the movie Casino. The waitresses are Spearmint Rhino quality and will sit and cuddle up with you while they take your order next to a firepit. Super cool. Go about 10-11 pm after dinner and before dancing.

They also serve breakfast 24hrs a day, its just a couple of blocks past the Wynn. I have walked it but there will be cabs out front. In my opinion, Cosmopolitan is the nicest place to stay, the rooms are great. Definitly try the chandolier Bar in Cosmo, plus try a burger at Holsteins while there. If i'm eating at Ceasars, we always go to Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill for the shrimp tamales, wife's favorite with a Mojito, and the tuna steak for me but definitly try the tamales even if just an appetizer. Tix 4 Less is good for the shows if your not picky about what you want to see and don't mind standing in line for awhile, but for any of the Cirque shows you are better of getting tix online from the Cirque website the day of the show. O is great, saw Zumanity last month and it was good, losts of skin, also saw Peepshow with Holly Madison and the wife liked it better than Zumanity. Saw Crazy Horse Paris at MGM last year and it was cool and less than $50 per ticket. As a Parrothead I would be remiss if I didn't suggest Margaritaville just across the street, great Cheeseburger In Paridise and the best Jerk Salmon I've ever had. It has a small casino next door and its pretty low key, low limit tables and slots. Hard Rock has a cool atmosphere and great music but its a cab ride from the strip, never stayed there but have been to concerts there several times. And last but not least, if you go into sweet tea detox { I usually do about that third day} there are food courts in Luxor and Monte Carlo similar to a mall food court, with a McD. God bless their sweet tea! Comfortable shoes!!!! Can't tell you how many women I have seen walking the strip barefooted in a cocktail dress carrying a pair of high heel shoes. Not hat you sound like the high heel type, but the wife might be!

I will second Zefferino's. Wife and I ate there for Valentine's the
night after we got engaged. Went back for our 2 year anniversary and
went to Alize at the Palms and it is still the best meal we have had in
Vegas.

http://alizelv.com/

It is at the top of the Palms with an
awesome view back to the strip. It will impress the hell our of your
wife. Towards the end of dinner hit up your waiter for passes to the
Ghost Bar. It is on the top floor of the other tower and has an outdoor
rooftop bar also looking back at the strip. The Playboy Club is also
in the same tower and has a really cool old school vibe with the girls
in the bunny outfits serving drinks and dealing.

Oh also from Alize
you can look over to the other Palms tower and see all the big
specialty suites that have pools overlooking the strip. Get a
reservation early at Alize and request a window table on the east side
towards the strip for the best view.
