When the Dem party loses Robert Kennedy jr... you know it's jumped the shark.
This cannot be over-emphasized: when you lose any member of the most iconic Democratic family in US history... that's telling.

Good. Outside of threats, harassment, crimes, etc., there is little need for content moderation. People are smart enough, or dumb enough, to make up their own minds on what the truth is. You can't legislate stupid.
Also, It appears the people doing the moderating, in general, have their own truths on how they wish the world to be, not necessarily how it is, and moderate accordingly.
In the end, he owns the company privately and can do what he wants, whether that is a smart tactic remains to be seen but people complaining about what he's doing is laughable. If it is ruining your user experience then you leave. But, most don't use Twitter for forced belief systems, they use it to see links to stories, see what's trending in sports, politics, etc. So, most will stay except for the Kyle Tuckers whose righteousness supersedes logic.

Dem US Rep. Adam Schiff directed Twitter to ban Paul Sperry, the journalist who reported on the whistleblower exposing the treasonous Dem plot to undermine former President Donald Trump in his first phony impeachment, for which Schiff served as a House manager.

“Just days after [Trump] was sworn in they were already trying to get rid of him.”

This is absolutely true. Every single effected account should sue under the first amendment. Should be a clear case for it

This thread sure knows how to make something out of nothing. Unless the government is literally forcing Twitter to do something, there is no case for a free speech issue.

I will disagree to an extent. Schiff was known to be lying from the get-go about most things, Twitter had nothing to do with it.
Swalwell, nothing to do with Twitter.

Democrats love the weaponization of the federal government against Americans.

And they know the nonsense buzz words to use in their propaganda to control their stupid followers.

When we having people living in echo chambers of "my sad is great, the other side is evil," we get comments like this

There's enough evil to go around for both "sides" to be evil, but absolutely nothing from the modern American left can be qualified as great: zero, zip, zilch, nada.
As a whole, our government does not work as our founding fathers intended. Every few years we get a bill passed that causes significant change to daily lives but now it just appears to be the elderly bickering back and forth about cultural issues.

It’s because a two party system is inherently flawed and results in no one getting what they actually want. It’s funny, we have laws preventing monopolies and trying to make it so we would never have just two companies owning an entire industry - being enforced by a two party political monopoly 😂

The problem is we don’t actually have two parties. By and large, there is one party with a few outlier politicians that aren’t powerful enough to take it on by themselves.

I'd argue the laws are to limit competition and give the illusion of choice. SBF donations show that he was arguing for more laws to govern crypto. Zuckerberg was also calling for more government rules... He obviously wasn't worried about his customers... he was worried about his competitors beating him. The uniparty is the same. It's an illusion of choice to squash competition.

The supreme court would disagree. It decades long settled law, that the government cannot do by coercion or threat, that which they cannot by law.

Twitter is a damn insane asylum. Very little good and a whole lotta bad. It's having a very corrosive effect on our society like most social media. I don't use it, never have. No TikTok cause it's basically Chinese spyware. No insta cause I don't need to be influenced by a bunch of fake people living fake lives. Damn I feel like a senior citizen bitching about the lawn. And I'm a damn millennial. But damn this new generations narcissism and straight up sociopathy is crazy. I only use my phone for this, texts, and watching highlights or movies.

But you'd admit that our government coercing publicly traded co's to censor free speech is the real problem... right?

Absofuckinglutely. I was speaking to the ills of social media. Censoring free speech is the worst crime a government can do to America outside killing citizens. Believe me I paid for those rights in blood.

I get that it’s just the norm now that we’re all going to believe what we want to believe based on basically anything political nowadays so I know there’s no use in trying to convince basically anyone on here but there’s a difference between threatening or forcing Twitter to ban people and suggesting Twitter ban people. The FBI and other government entities suggesting that Twitter ban, shadow ban, etc. is not a crime and that is what happened here.

lol no, there are objective facts and laws (of which you are completely ignorant) even though you just believe what you want based on politics.

No one said it’s a crime.

Bad choice of words on my point when I said crime, that’s not the point. It’s less me believing what I want and more actually reading what the story is about. It’s not uncommon for the FBI, DNC, or RNC to suggest that social media companies ban or limit access of certain individuals or groups from being on their platforms. It’s in part how we as a people can limit dis- and misinformation, you all only get mad about it when it happens to Republicans. This is a non-story.

If you think this is a non-story, you are either uninformed or a moron (or both). Even if you agree with government agencies coercing censorship, anyone with a shred of integrity or critical thinking ability would understand why it is not a “non-story”.

We’ve just seen the details at Twitter. We’ve heard it went on at Facebook from Zuckerberg. It’s without a doubt going on at Google, Microsoft, etc. We recently watched real time as scientific information and independent thought was censored so big pharma and politicians could get Covid shots into people.

Again, if you think it’s a non-story you are uninformed or a moron (or both).

We get it, you think I’m dumb. If you all got off of the political board long enough, maybe we can have a real discussion about how and when the government intervenes in our lives. Until then, keep thinking that everyone is out to get you. Free speech doesn’t apply to how Twitter operates because Twitter isn’t a government entity. The FBI SUGGESTING that Twitter limits or bans the access of certain people from their site is not a first amendment issue. I know you all love riding Elon Musk until your *** gets tired but just because a billionaire says something, that doesn’t make it true. It’s only a story to you all because other Republicans told you it was a story. Please learn what the First Amendment truly is and how it is applied in modern society.
