Go Saturday. Much easier to get a reservation. That's what my wife and I do. We don't go the actual day of Valentines.

Any of the following: Flight or Itta Bena (both downtown); Paulette's on the island at Harbor Town; Alchemy or Sweetgrass at Cooper Young in midtown; either Capital Grill or Season's 52 (both new at at the Crescent Center in east Memphis); Jim's Place Grill on Houston Levy in Collierville.

It's going to be tough to get in anywhere but try Jim's place, napa cafe, Andrew Michael, interim, Bari, sweet grass, Paulette's, southward, or alchemy

Sweetgrass, Acre, are good choices, Jim's Place (any location), There are better places than Brooklyn Bridge imho.
If you are not interested in it being 'romantic' but good, the Beauty Shop isnt bad either and its different. Owen Brennans is always a good stand buy, Flemings too. The food at Ronni Grisanti's in the Sheffield Antique Mall is good too. Weird location but good.

Best. Amswer. Ever.

Valentine's night= crammed into a packed restaurant with sub-par service and lots of people who go out to eat once a year- you know, the ones who marinate their **** in Dale's and like Yeti coolers (just kidding).

Do a good dinner on Sat or Sun, and if in Memphis, go to Andrew Michael Italian Kitchen or Hog and Hominy- those guys make
damn good food

Just got home from Hog & Hominy...Not a Valentines Dinner kind if place. In fact that was some of the most bizzar food I've ever had. Not likely to go back. However Andrew Michaels is quite good as is Amerigo. And apologies to the poster who suggested Ronnie Grisantis but don't take your lady to the antique mall for her Valentines dinner.

Yes, and before someone jumps on here and tells you about how they've lost their touch... they haven't. It's still one of the best places in the tri-state area to get a steak, and the sides are incredible as well. You're probably out of luck in terms of getting a private room this late in the game, but book a few months in advance next year and the two of you can have your own room. Not many places that I know of that still offer that...

Forgot to add Earnestine and Hazel's. Nothing says "I love you baby" like a hunk of juicy meat off the flat-top.
