Nope. Im not a conspiracy theorist. I have no plausible explanation for what happened that night. But given its status as THE deadliest mass shooting in US history, media coverage didnt go on for months like one would have expected.

Now it could be the effect of acoustics and sounds bouncing off of the very large, elaborate high rise buildings of the LV strip. I am not an expert on the subject so perhaps there is a plausible explanation. But the part that never sat right with me was the sound of the gun fire. Ive watched so many videos from so many angles and its difficult to hear what you hear and attribute it to a lone gunman.

He had built a shooting platform in the hotel room and easily could have gotten off hundreds of rounds from the weapons and magazines he had.

Well, we know he was super tough because he had a lot of guns.

But really, there has never been a ton of coverage about it.

That part I dont doubt. Its just hard to rationalize what you hear and think "one gunman".

Again Im open to there being a rational explanation. Theres no way the LV strip itself doesnt provide a strange acoustic portfolio. And given the range he was firing at we're like going to hear two taps for every single round of ammunition fired. It could be one of those situations where a sense fails us. Its just hard to listen to that audio and picture it coming from one man.

But as far as physical evidence goes. Every entrance and exit was under 24/7 surveillance. Clearly no one else was with SP that night unless there was some grand conspiracy - which Im not sure what the objective would have been.

So yeah. Im sure there is a logical explanation for the sound of the gun fire. But the entire event feels like a fever dream.

Human mass behavior isn't super complicated. The first thing we ask is "could this happen to me or my loved ones?" Meaning, were the people killed especially bad or did they deserve it, were they terrorists, or into drugs, or just different from me. If that answer is no, then we have outrage that a person like me could be randomly killed. Then we question how it could be stopped. Why did he do it? How did he have so much firepower? What about police? If it turns out he was nuts, attacked an incredibly soft target, and lives in a country that allows people to be freely armed to the max whether out of a matter of choice or just a lack of policing, then we just move on. Crazy people are going to kill a lot of people in our country because of a lack of mental health services, and access to lots of firepower. It is sacrifice one must make to be heavily armed against a government that already provides us with cheaper food, very cheap water and electricity, transportation routes, global security of trade routes...but you know, one day they are going to try and kill us, instead of just turning off our water or electricity.

We need:
1. Annual registration of guns
2. Mandatory training
3. Huge penalties for non-compliance
4. Hugh penalties for commiting a violent crime with a weapon

This is a start. I am NOT trying to do away with the 2nd Amendment. Sorry if I am too ultra conservative for many of you. I've been around for a long time (9th decade of life).

"Newly released court documents show the Las Vegas shooter's girlfriend deleted her Facebook account before police announced the identity of the gunman behind the deadliest mass shooting in modern history.

Marilou Danley was in the Philippines visiting family when Stephen Paddock killed 58 people and injured another 557 in the Oct. 1 attack. She made changes to her Facebook account's privacy and personal settings at 12:30 a.m., about 2 1/2 hours after the first volley of bullets rained down on people attending a music festival on the Las Vegas strip. The first calls about the shooting rolled in at 10:08 p.m., according to police.

At 2:46 a.m., her account was deleted entirely.

But it wasn't until nearly an hour after that — 3:30 a.m. — that police released Paddock's name to the public.

Authorities say that prior to the shooting Paddock transferred a large amount of money - close to $100,000 - to someone in the Philippines, possibly his girlfriend. Eric Paddock said he now believes his brother may have been trying to arrange for Danley to be abroad before carrying out his massacre.

Danley arrived in the Philippines a week before the attack, Filipino news outlets said, quoting immigration officers at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. The officers told local news outlets that she arrived in Manila from Hong Kong on Sept. 25 via Cebu Pacific flight 5J 115."

She was never charged with anything either and apparently knows "nothing", her fingerprints were on the ammunition and the magazines because she used to help him load them.

We have plenty of laws on the books regarding guns. This country has an enforcement problem.

If you have a gun and that gun is used in a crime, you get executed. It is that simple. If you buy a gun for a person and it is used in a crime, you get executed and if your gun is used in an accidental shooting of a person, you get executed.

Everyone I know that has a gun tells me how they are the safest, smartest gun owner ever and how their gun would never end up in the wrong hands and there would never be an accident. So they should be totally on board.

Do you think the gang bangers in Chicago are going to register their guns and attend training?

No...Are you saying that because some people don't follow the laws that no people should follow them?

We have 3 and 4. Couldn’t agree more that the current laws need to stop being ignored by activist judges and prosecutors
