Anyone have Verizon? I have AT&T but my phone is dying and they want $350for an early termination fee and an upgrade to an IPhone. But, if I change to Verizon, they will pay my early termination and I would just have to pay the $200 for the IPhone.

Plus, my AT&T coverage sucks.

Also, I don't want Cellular South... If for no other reason than the first ever phone call for Cellular South was from Archie to Trent Lott... gag a maggot

and like all of the companies, there are a few areas of dead spots, but for the most part he has been happy with his service in Mississippi. When we have been at Davis Wade, he has had no problems getting his phone to work--calls/data, whereas my phone on ATT has no coverage. He does say that verizon nickles and dimes you to death, but he has no complaints.

I have never had a problem with coverage. I switched (from AT&T) at the beginning of last football season because on gameday my phone was useless.

The have roaming agreements with each other. Customers from both companies freely use each other's network and the user never knows it.<div>

Both have great service in MS. (superior to that of AT&T) Verizon costs more, but they have great nationwide service and the newest, most advanced devices. If you don't have an iPhone, well you just don't have an iPhone.

I have been with Verizon for many years and never have connection problems. I use a Droid X and love it. You will get better coverage with Verizon state wide than you will with AT&T. The only consideration is if you travel overseas then AT&T will work better. Verizon will have 4G LTE (which is lightning fast) service by next year. AT&T will be years from now for 4G LTE they are behind in hardware. They do have not interest in small rural markets like Mississippi. BTW I do not work for Verizon.

but the blanket approach on talking about other companies is just incorrect. I work in a few midstate counties--Scott, Rankin, Yazoo, etc and ATT has 3G in those areas that I have to go to: Verizon and CSouth do not and have a slow data alternative as well as much poorer call reception. That doesn'y make ATT the best choice for everyone in the state, but it is for me. Verizon LTE has a head start on ATT, but ATT will cover 70-80 million people with 4LTE by the end of the year: Verizon, around 150 to 180 million. Both will wrap up installation of 4LTE pretty much by the end of next year. Bottom line--I get better coverage for calls and data with ATT and my plan costs me $20 less per month.
