nothing to do with skill just the luck as to where the ball stops. It has to stop somewhere just like the bullet. As to your question maybe he saw his dad leaning over the body and wasn't for sure if his dad was a zombie or not then he saw Shane and realized.

I thought he was struggling over whether or not to shoot the prisoner.

Generally, I think people are reading too much into things on the show. I love WD, but its no LOST. I'm not seeing any carefully constructed multi-layer subtleties like LOST had.

Remember when they spent three episodes talking about is Andrea going to kill herself (OMG!) when her and redneck found the guy who hung himself from the tree. Redneck said he was a moron and forgot you came back as a zombie when you die. He hadn't been bit.

Apparently Rick is going to reveal this is what the CDD guy told him before they left in the finale next week. The characters only seem to remember this fact when it is convenient as at least on a few occasions they seem to have established they know this. But wait, what about the people on the highway who were dead in the cars? Well, according to the writers they were careful to show they all died of head injuries....

What I would like to know last night is how nobody found the zombie hoard last night as they were roaming around for hours looking for the prisoner? From the last image last night, they were right on the wood line. Plus, after hours of walking around Shane is going to kill Rick right there in plain view of the farmhouse. And of course Carl was once again running around by himself with zombies and escaped armed prisoners loose at the farm.

The guy who hung himself left a note. It said 'Got bit, world gone to S$#@, might as well quit.' Darrell shot him after reading that note.

so, i think he had indeed been bit.

And I don't think Rick and Shane were within view of the farmhouse when they had their showdown.

The part about Carl roaming around is a good one, though. Where the hell is momma?

The guy hanging from the tree had been chewed up pretty good. Whether it was before or after he hung himself I don't know.

There are some logic gaps on the show but lets be honest here, it is a show about dead people walking around eating the living so everything is not going to be totally believable. I think some of those logic gaps might could be blamed on the director switch in the middle of the season.

I don't remember the note, but I won't doubt that he left it. I tend to drift in and out when they are repeating the same speech over and over.

I am basing my thought that they were within viewing distance of the farm house on the pull back shot at the end and next weeks preview.

. . . then AVOID these likely spot-on spoilers for this Sunday's finale: wow, just wow.. I read it, but I still can't wait to actually see it .

Exactly. It's a lot simpler than it's being made out to be.

I never thought I would get into a comic book (or graphic novel), but I really can't put them down.<div>
</div><div>I give the show a ton of credit b/c they are not following the comic book. It is almost like I get to have two different versions of the same story.</div><div>I watched the whole first season in one sitting the first time I ever saw it, and was blown away.</div><div>
</div><div>I still think that Meryl is going to come back and be in the came that Randall came from.</div><div>There was too much of an unfinished story with him.</div><div>
</div><div>Also, what ever happened to the guy with the kid from the first few episodes? I can't think of what his name was.</div>

while i still watch the show and like it well enough, you basically just laid out everything wrong with the writing. every character is one dimensional. things like shane and rick march around in the woods for hours, only to have carl walk up on them (seriously lori?)and they end up in field within view of the house. not that the folks in the house would have seen anything in the dark, but still they walked forever and made it a 100 yards?<div>
</div><div>then things like andrea tlaking about suicide forever. and then the obviously correlation to hershel's undeveloped daughter attempting suicide.</div><div>
</div><div>sometimes i just like to imagine a world where tWD had breaking bad or mad men or homeland writers.

Sort of sad Shane's gone, but he was on borrowed time anyway, and all of his conflicts were getting stale.

Rick is turning into more and more of a badass, I like it.

Tdogg got lines for the first time in several episodes. Hooray!

It's the zombie apocalypse, and Glenn is again turning down a warm bed with a hot piece.

We need more Daryl, and fast.

The farm obviously gets raided next episode. I have read no spoilers, but here's who I'd expect to die:

Zombie Chow tier: Carol, Tdogg, Hershel's boring *** family
Medium Danger tier: Andrea, Hershel
Low Danger tier: Daryl, Glenn, Maggie
Untouchable: Rick, Lori, Carl

At best, I can see 8 moving on from the farm (perhaps switch Hershel and Tdogg). Obviously a new setting (prison?) is coming. I really hope we find Merl there, between he and the Gov, season 3 should have ready-made conflicts.

Thank you. the show is ****** (compared to every other amc series) with awful actors and writing and god awful accents. Easily the worst show on that channel. Mad men and breaking bad can't return soon enough.

Keep in mind that "The Killing" is on AMC.

Also, I've gotten really bored with Mad Men, other than mindlessly staring at Christina Hendricks.

The writing for The Walking Dead really only suffered during the first half of the 2nd season. The first season, and second half of the second have been pretty good. I have no problems with the acting, and the only insufferable accent has been Rick (but I give Andrew Lincoln a pass - he's British).

I'm hoping the writing will turn around for season 3 as the show will finally have some continuity. Even though Darabont was fired before the season aired, he had a hand in some or all of the episodes all the way up to "Nebraska". Some had problems with the way he stretched out the Sophia/Farm plotlines so I think you'll start seeing some more fast paced episodes starting next year now that Kirkman and Mazzara are in charge.

that they would realize they need to find a place surrounded by water...like a somewhere guarded by a moat or an island. One of the Philly bar boys said something about a safe zone on an island in the gulf. Seems like that would be the best chance for a protected, "safe" area even though I know ever getting to a safe place is the end of the story

it's not like walking hundreds/thousands of miles is really a safe option, then swimming? rowing? to an island. i doubt many boats would just be sitting in the water waiting for them. that's the first thing i'd do is head for water and take my boat or someone elses and haul *** away from shore. even driving to the water, they have to do a lot of gas salvaging to make it that far.<div>
</div><div>not saying trying to get to an island is a bad idea, but it's much easier said than done.

in a relatively short time. They have run into massive hoards in the city, at the Atl camp, on the road once while stopped, and now at the farm. Seems like staying in one area for too long is one of their mainproblems.</p>

Something I just thought about. How could you sleep in an unlocked room with others and not be concerned with someone dying in their sleep, turning, and eating everyone else in their sleep? I know it's just a tv and not a likely scenario, but I would barricade myself somewhere to sleep.
