OT wallpaper removal

I've removed a lot of wallpaper. A steamer will normally make it turn loose after you perforate the paper. Paint is going to complicate things because it's going to waterproof it some. Get one of the tools that perforates the paper and you can buy some crap at Sherwin Williams's that'll make the paper turn loose. You apply it with a sponge.
Me too and what a fun experience that is.** Best be in a good and patient mood to start. Good chance you won't be by the end.
Agree, "painted over" sounds problematic.
Curious why you don't just wallpaper over it or just repaint it?
2 tools to go with the remover goop you can buy and/or clothes steamer if you have one. Good luck.
When you get it off and the wall dries don’t forget to use a sanding pole to prep it before priming/painting
I started to post some kind of wise аss remark, but you’ve got a lot of heartache headed your way, so I won’t add to it. Good luck, seriously. That’s a big job.
One piece of advice… When your frustration level hits a boiling point, go take a walk or take a drive and cool off before you start punching holes in the drywall. Otherwise, you’ll just make more work for yourself.
Removal of painted over wallpaper is a job only a Mississippi State fan could fully appreciate. You’ve trained your whole life for this. God speed.
When I bought my house every wall had wall paper on it. Some had 2 layers of wall paper. Some had wall paper that had been painted over. I had a scorer and a scraper and a steamer too.
I say that to say try a spot just priming and painting. If it looks ok just leave the paper up. It's a headache.
