Supposed to be leaving for Gulf Shores tomorrow morning. Do you think I should make other plans or do you think Debbie will spare that area. Of course, I can't get a refund on the condo unless there is a mandatory evacuation but I may rather cut my losses than go sit in a condo and watch it rain with the kids driving me nuts

There's still questions as to where its eventually going to go but needless to say its going to be dreary in Gulf Shores.

Get some crab pots, chicken necks, and beer. Fish underneath the Little Lagoon Pass Bridge. You will stay nice and dry and it beats hanging out at the condo. I have done this during a hurricane and tropical storm and caught cooler full of crabs.

Even during that, which came right throught GS/OB, there were breaks in the weather that allowed people to get to the beach. Of course every storm is different but if you're already out the money you just as well go and make the best of it.

The crab fishing sounds like a good idea. Hopefully, I can sale the boys on that one. I think there will be some breaks that will let us get to the beach. Hopefully it will be a peaceful vacation. At least as peaceful as possible with 3 kids.

with isolated areas of 6 inches. I think those numbers are going to increase because Debby is supposed to meander around for the next two days in the Gulf, so I think in the end you could see more than that. As has been posted by many, it's going to be dreary and rainy for the next 3 to 5 days down there. Not great conditions for beach stuff honestly. </p>

The current can be pretty strong in Little Lagoon Pass. You may have to tie a big rock in your crab pot to keep it from drifting with the current. There are plenty of rocks under the bridge..
