It says in there that DD is number 1 on A&E. Second only to AMC's the walking dead on all of cable. 8.6 million viewers is pretty good, and 1st in its time slot. I'd say they have some leverage if "jersey shore" got their way back when.
FX and AMC have established precedent of screwing the folks that made their most popular shows. And for some reason, top cable shows don't bring the money that top broadcast network shows bring even when the cable shows are higher rated.
I wish they would tell the boys to hit the road and just keep Si and Phil and pay them what they give the 2 boys. Hell Si could have his own show and I'd watch but I cant take the boys
I've met all those guys. Before they were famous, I actually "partied" with a couple of them. I told some of my friends about a year ago that one of them will get the brilliant idea they can make more money on their own and pull out. For their sake, I hope they stay humble and keep it going. Prolly too late for that though.
It's A&E's most watched show EVER. They'll cough up the cash or DD will go get record ratings on another network. No way A&E is willing to let that happen. Follow the $$$$$.
