my recollection is that, according to trump, 10k was the threshold proposed by either obama or clinton

Well considering they targetted the runways and most of the air base that delivered the chemical attack, I'd say its hard to argue that wasn't the motivation.

Also, you speak of Syrian refugees and the US...in a 2015 survey of Syrian looking at the possibility of leaving, only 6% envisioned moving to North America...most would rather not come here....poor argument that seems to be made quite a bit.

no american has ever been killed by a syrian refugee terrorist, and miami beach is going to be underwater within 50 years

but absorbing 10k into a nation of 330m is a bigger risk than climate change

good job recognizing the real threats in the world

sure, it's hard to argue donald trump doesn't give a **** about people he's barred from the country. nearly impossible, really

no way this is about propping himself up domestically--he's such a caring person, and deserves the benefit of the doubt

I think as much as anything, this is Trump putting the world on notice that he's not playing around like the past panzi potus. However I hope he stays doesn't follow in bush's footsteps and get us in another cluster flop. If he's into nation building, start with this one, then worry bout the crap hole in the earth known as the middle east.

Point blank period.

People acting like this is an act of war. No, it's a message. It's reported he could have taken out bigger targets.. But he didn't. This was warning shot.

Again.. Aside from lack of communication, which can be seen as a good thing, this was a homerun. Half the libtards in my life are praising him..

Why do you think they're motivated?

by the pundit class delivering slobbering blowjobs and calling him 'presidential' every time he uses military force

either that, or it's that he's suddenly so disgusted by syrian civilian casualties that he's done a complete 180

such a tough call, it really is

I'm hoping enough of our enemies are getting the message. Lol I try to stay as far away from libtards as possible, so I wouldnt know much about their thought process right now

This was nothing more than a test from Putin. Our last President made a threat of a redline, wh n it was crossed he did nothing and the world took notice.
Trump made it known that the US is under new management.

There was absolutely no need to use chemical weapons, some of you need to realize how the World operates.

rest of the world isn't as easily duped as you, billy jack

You're the only one that's been duped Windy.
You're mad that Trump took a stand where Obama backed down. deep down you know this was a good move that shouldve been done 4 years ago.

You say he has nothing substantive to bring to the table while talking about the manner in which he pleasures himself. I mean of all the things you could talk about in Willy's sex life, that's what you went with?

This guy is holding his twin 9 month old babies who died from the nerve gas attack. The leader of his country did that.

I have ZERO problem with sending this message to Syria, Russia, and North Korea. Our hands aren't completely clean for sure, but standing by allowing Al-Asad to do this is unconscionable.

And if we weren't the world police to some extent, we'd be singing Das Deutschlandlied to a Nazi flag.

I can't stand Trump, but this was appropriate. And about time after the ***** we had for 8 years refused to do anything. You cannot let atrocities like gassing children go without some reaction.

As long as any further action or stances are taken through Congress, I have no issue with this and applaud the response. I pray for our servicemen and women right now.
I am right there with you. I couldn't stand Trump 30 yrs ago after I read "Art of the Deal" where he bragged about conning people in real estate deals.

Something had to be done to show Syria someone is going to hold them accountable. I don't know what he told his buddy Putin, but I hope that once and for all, Trump sees Putin and the Russian government for what it is.....barbarians that don't care about human life or moral decency.

Obama was very weak in dealing with cases that required discipline.

I certainly don't want a war, but like Patton said we are gonna have to fight them Russian bastards sooner or later, we might as well do it now.

To be fair Patton was talking about a regime under Stalin that was worse than Hitler's 3rd Reich.....we SHOULD have found way to remove him from power and encourage an overthrow of the Communist system IMO

As far as the current bombings - I feel compelled to read more and try to get educated but I'm just partly tired and partly lazy...from the recent Arizona trip ....also, I've had a lot of merlot......A LOT. OF. MERLOT.

But here are some things I don't get:

Why would Assad use chemical weapons at this time - ?

From what I'd been reading - he was winning the fight against ISIS -- and he WAS fighting ISIS. along with Russia

What would cause him to suddenly deploy chemical weapons against a civilian populace when he KNOWS that US Forces had been looking for an excuse to intervene?

Was he using the weapons against ISIS and then just missed the target?
Did he just randomly pick a civilian center and hit it for -- no good reason?

What's supposed to be the motive here?
Civilians that were taking up arms as rebels maybe? At least that would make a little more sense.....

I just saw the story early Fri a/m when I was getting into ATL airport around 4am

Trump had no business launching that preemptive strike whatsoever
a_ He needs congressional approval to start a war
b. While I'm more than ready to be educated on what I'm missing - at this point - I don't see where there was concrete evidence showing that Assad used those weapons against his own people

it just doesn't make any damn sense

again, I don't have all the facts and am ready for more information --- but am tired and a little drunk.....so that process starts tomorrow after breakfast, a short hike with my daughters, playing the Strat, playing with the dogs, slapping my wife's ***, investing in a little D&D time, eating lunch, taking a nap, drinking more merlot.....then starting to drink my stash of Ice-Cold-Miller-High Life Tall Boys.......THEN....LOUD MUSIC....

uh-oh....I think I see a potential problem with tomorrow's agenda......

I have no problem with it.

Bombs away.

Pretty much.

I'm cool with a policy of "Use chemical/biological weapons or nukes for any reason and we're coming after your ***."

Also, I'm glad John McCain called North Korea's leader a fat kid, fwiw.

Doesn't give a ****? Of course he does. That's why he doesn't want them here, da. He recognizes a risk that escapes you.

We haven't been hit with a nuclear bomb either, have we? I take you're happy to let NK start firing them our way. Good grief.

also - this all happened back in 2013 as well if you recall

there was a chemical attack that was IMMEDIATELY blamed on Assad

and the US media was banging the war drums

the WHOLE DAMN THING smells like a set up -- doesn't it?
I mean ... come ON

anyway - here's a report from 2013 where a UN weapons expert / MIT Grad analyzed our data and "irrefutable statements" and concluded that there's no way that Assad's govt forces used those weapons......

I'm not saying it's the exact same situation (not yet anyway) BUT there are some great bits of data in this report if you are interested in learning more about deployment of Sarin gas

FWIW - no one's been barred from the country

I read both executive orders on immigration background checks (that's all they are - unless there's something in your background that would cause the US to stop you from entering) -- I made a comparison side by side of the 2 orders and then posted a review on my blog

The blog is advert-free, I don't intend to make $ on it and I think the summary is fairly clear

Anyone calling it a "ban" -- including the media -- either hasn't read the actual orders, or they have another motive for what they're doing

NK is a whole other ball of wax........

If we go to war with them - we need to be ready to use nukes
Anyone else that's been to the Peninsula in a military capacity esp -- knows that a 2nd Korean war would be worse than anything we've seen since .....well......probably the last one

Fed Reserve is privately owned so I am not sure it is 100% US Government. Syria was disrupted by rogue elements of our government and private groups. Now our government is giving into the globalists once again with the latest bombing. The military industrial complex gets what it wants again. War, oil, drugs, and human trafficking. End the FED. Overhaul the CIA, NSA, FBI, and any other agency that wants globalist to run our country and disrupt other. 7 countries in 5 years was the plan.

What the hell does "dropped the US dollar" mean?

For starters research 'petrodollars'. Second understand that anytime a country wants to make a purchase from another country they have to do so through the banks in New York and do so in US dollars. How do you think the dollar hasn't collapsed under it's own weight yet.
