I'm as Republican as they come, but even I think what Congress is doing is pointless and stupid. Even IF the Senate agrees to attach defunding Obamacare onto the budget bill, they know there is no way in this world that Obama isn't going to veto the whole thing. I just don't understand what they are planning to accomplish here. As the days wind on, more and more congressional republicans are going to agree to back off defunding Obamacare, and a new budget will finally be passed. That is the only end to this stalemate, because its 2(Senate and President) vs 1(Congress). And ultimately all these congressional members elected via the Tea Party are going to be swept out of Congress come mid-term elections for holding the nation hostage over this bill. This idiocy will kill what little voice the GOP had in Washington, and the Democrats will control all 3 legislative branches.
