you cook it yourself, but the meat is fantastic. Lots of other places around there. Also, I think The Yardhouse has the most beers on tap of any bar in the world.

Alternately, Little Italy is ok too.

Lots of good bars and places to eat down there. Old Town is pretty cool. They have some really awesome Margaritas at this one place out there. Can't remember the name though. Little Italy is nice. Mission Bay is nice. gotta go by the Midway Museum. Shout House is a pretty good piano bar with really cheap drinks. Yard house is another good bar. Broken Yolk is a good place to eat some breakfast. The Marina is fun out behind the conference center. I go there every summer for a conference and i love it. Padres games are fun too. 2nd the Gaslamp Strip Club. Enjoy.

The zoo is nice if you have kids.
Old town is kind of cool too.
Gaslamp District is the place to be on the weekends
The baseball park is downtown too.
There is a Sea World.
They have plenty of cruises/tours out in the bay.

It is a fantastic zoo, but take lots of water and be prepared for lots of hills, it will give your calves a workout.

Close by: 1: McGregors bar/grill. Just eastof 15 on San Diego Mission Rd. 2:San Diego Brewing Company bar/grill. About 1/2 mileeast of 15 on Friar's Rd. 3: Bully's East restaurant/bar. South on Texas St. 1 exit west of the805 on8.

Farther away: 1. El Cotixan #3 in El Cajon. The best damn carne asada burrito you'll ever eat! Take a right onto N. Johnson Ave. from 8 east then turn right into thelittle shopping center just past Burger King.

I lived in El Cajon for a couple of years and traveled Navajo a lot of times. Been to McGregors a lot of times but spent most of my time closer to home at Kelly's Pub in El Cajon.

If you go east on Navajo, I think like 3-4 miles from Waring, it is on your right at Golfcrest Drive, before you see the golf course on your right. Used to live in those golf condos.

for upper end, you cannot go wrong at Bertrand's at Mr. A's. Rooftop restaurant overlooking the bay from the Gas Lamp District. Pricey, but delicious. Somebody else mentioned Yardhouse, and if you like a cold draft, they do have about 150 on tap. Several rooftop bars with lots of attractive scenery. Not sure if the trolley runs to Pacific Beach or La Jolla, but Pacific Beach is the 20-something crowd andLa Jolla if you have more cash than you know what to do withit. If you want a great burger, find Hodad's. If golf is your thing Torrey Pines is just a little north.

Cool! Thanks! I'll check it out the next time I go visit. I used to go down Navajo and take Jackson to Mission Gorge when going to SDBC.

I lived just south of the 8 behind Parkway Plaza mall in El Cajon. It was the hood. Had MS13 graffiti less than a block away on the 7/11, came home one night with the police chopper circling and cops everywhere but, nobody ever bothered me.

Any other answer is null and void.
Go at lunch, because at night there's a 2-hour wait just to get in.
