OT: What's worse: Fansville or Limu Emu and Doug?

Fansville grew on me. It was the transfer portal commercial that tipped it. Emu is horrible. Must be done on purpose to annoy people so that we talk about it bc come on it’s insurance we’re taking about here.

Are you kidding? Emu sucked the first time it was aired and only got worse. Not all Fansvilles are great, but if you've ever posted on this board during a game you have to find "Folks it's only the 1st play" hilarious.

Love Fansville(hated the Dr. Pepper vendor). Emu ads are the worst. Hopefully next ones they actually do drop piano on Doug.

Sorry OP, but this is a bad question. Fansville is awesome… one of the more memorable ad campaigns in recent memory IMO. The LM Emu commercials are terrible.

Fansville commercials are awesome! They always seem to have the pulse of college football fans and popular trends. Definitely a trick question.

Can't stand all the Liberty commercials. For that reason I'll never buy their insurance. Fansville is great!

I hit "mute" whenever commercials come on. I got tired of the same bad ads over and over again during the baseball playoffs. I pay attention to ads only when they include an attractive woman, e.g. the ad featuring Jennifer Garner during the baseball playoffs, but I have to look it up to remember what she was advertising!

Know this: every national commercial we ever see (and a whole bunch we never see) is thoroughly focus group tested with its targeted demographic.

Like all of us, I think a lot of commercials are dumb. But if I'm not in the targeted demographic, then they don't give a **** what I think.

Most advertising specifically does NOT target those of us "of a certain age". The reason is twofold. One, we are assumed to be less likely to be early adopters of new products. Two, for mature products, our brand preferences are assumed to be established and somewhat inflexible.

The little Dr Pepper rock star guy is creepy.

Love the Progressive commercial when people start acting like their parents.

The little Dr. Pepper guy is Justin Guarini, who finished 2nd on the 1st season of American Idol (won by Kelly Clarkson).

He is shown "actual size" in the commercials. 🤣

The thing is that college sports became so absurd in recent years that the campaigns wrote themselves. The agency must have been like, “this is too easy!”
