If you’re in reservoir Brandon then you take 471/43 around the reservoir for an easy and scenic commute to cantonWhen you say Brandon do you mean real Brandon or Reservoir Brandon? They are not the same. Real Brandon is fine but a long damn way from Canton and there's only three effective ways to cross the river. Reservoir Brandon is better in terms of being close but then you have to deal with the Spillway and the Trace cutting over to I-55 every day.
Yeah. I’d go anywhere in eastern Madison County from Yandell Rd down to Madison or out towards Flora. You almost couldn’t pay me to live in Gluckstadt.Deerfield has a few nice homes on the market. Be careful with Gluckstadt, you have 1000+ houses on 2 lane roads that were not designed to handle that much traffic.
Where are "real Brandon" and "reservoir Brandon" on a map? I only see "Brandon".If you’re in reservoir Brandon then you take 471/43 around the reservoir for an easy and scenic commute to canton
Real Brandon is Brandon on a map, the actual city limits of the city of Brandon. People who live out Lakeland Drive, Old Fannin, Spillway Road with 39047 as their area code, the area code says Brandon and they often tell people they live in Brandon but they don't live in or usually anywhere near the actual city of Brandon, thus the distinction.Where are "real Brandon" and "reservoir Brandon" on a map? Gluckstadt/Madison/Madison CountyIf you took a job in Canton?
I've been contacted about an interesting opportunity, but it would require me to work in Canton. Is Brandon a good place to live? I know Madison is popular. I'd like my quickest route to the coast to not involve going through Jackson, but I guess that's not necessary. I don't really want to be too terribly close to Jackson.
If you have an area to suggest, why? What are the pros and cons?
Thanks.
Brandon proper runs along HWY 80 for the most part, some folks call it Hwy 80 Brandon or 042.Where are "real Brandon" and "reservoir Brandon" on a map? I only see "Brandon".
Just make sure you got a pissing porch somewhere. You gotta be able to take a leak without pissing on the neighbors window. Some of these places look as bad as the DSLD/Horton homes.Where are "real Brandon" and "reservoir Brandon" on a map? I only see "Brandon".
I live in 047 and call it "047 Brandon" when people askBrandon proper runs along HWY 80 for the most part, some folks call it Hwy 80 Brandon or 042.
Much of what folks call the Rez (reservoir) is 39047. Folks who live in 047 may tell you that live in Brandon, Rez, 047 or Flowood (as much of it abuts Flowood).
I live in 047, but tell folks I live in Flowood as it's city limits are a mile or two away.
If you're the type who frustrated by slow drivers and/or don't build in extra time on your commute, then don't live across the Rez.If you’re in reservoir Brandon then you take 471/43 around the reservoir for an easy and scenic commute to canton
Huh? Many of the neighborhoods in 047 around the Rez are the same damn houses that are in Madison for about $15-20k less. Seems like a smart buy to many people.Just make sure you got a pissing porch somewhere. You gotta be able to take a leak without pissing on the neighbors window.
