It was absolutely terrible. I don’t know who vets these performers, but that person should be fired.
I immediately thought of Naked Gun.
So does my daughter's best friend from HS. Her (daughter's friend) bachelorette party was a trip to Chcago and at Cubs-Cards game at Wrigley Field.
She is actually worse than Roseanne Barr, at least from an expectations perspective. A 4 time Grammy winner did badly. Roseanne did badly, but what did people expect?
Such a shame. Such a beautiful voice and a beautiful person destroyed by drugs. Saw her in concert. Absolutely flawless performance.

Hmmm was thinking could be genius on her part. If she sang really good no one would really talk about her singing....but being that it was beyond awful everybody will be talking about her and looking up who she is like I did on wikpedia
Dont blame Bobby Brown for her drugs she was more than likely partaking before she got involved with him. Think she even said so. She was from East Orange not Milburn. Her early songs were the record producer trying to whiten her to sell her music. Unbelievable voice/gospel singer....best ever National Anthem...I'm not so sure you name a rest area after someone who OD'd kindof sends a wrong message to youth

I wonder if she realizes that she is putting extra notes in the song. It sort of sounds like when young people used to put an Ah at the end of their words, like No-ah, friend-ah etc.
I had to change the channel because it was too embarrassing to watch. I thought it was just me at first since I had not been feeling well, but after a little bit, I'm like, "No, it's not me, this just sucks." Roseann Barr did a better job.

As I am not a country music aficionado, I was not aware of Ingrid Andress. I played one of your songs on YouTube. ("More Hearts Than Mine"- easy enough to find if you're interested.) She's actually quite good - in her element. Your description of your style seems accurate. Gave off a Stevie Nicks vibe to me.
Problem is, for the National Anthem, that doesn't work.
"cursive" is the term for the style of singing she does.
Just probably had a bad night and we don't know what technical difficulties there could have been. It seems like she couldn't even hear herself and was just belting it out. I didn't stay for the end.
that's what I'm saying she could be a genius. The anthem was unbelievably awful and if she sang it great nobody would care or even wonder who she is....but because it was so awful I looked her up online on wikipedia I'm sure many many people did just like me to see who she was
