OT: Why does water from a garden hose taste so good?

Nostalgia. Growing up 75% of the water I drank came from a hose. We farmed so we were out in the pasture/field a lot. We had a splitter at our water troughs with a short hose for humans

Because you are thirsty, if you are drinking out of it.
I learned a lesson as a wee lad that during the summer you need to run the water for a few seconds before you drink.
Same reason drinking well water out of oxpipe does. It’s a million degrees outside and you are waterlogged with sweat.
To check for spiders?
Also if it’s a well, to make sure there’s not a dead frog down there, you might not smell it before you taste it.
A couple years ago I was running on the reservoir levee across from Shuckers and a fire hydrant was open and letting out water at a rate comparable to that of a garden hose, but it was a 3-4 inch fire hydrant outlet instead of a garden hose. I just stuck my face in that water and just started swallowing and it was one of the greatest things I've ever experienced.
I have to pay for my water that comes out of a hose too.
Usually when you drink from a hose - you are thirsty as hell. That's why it's so good.
There are a few things that make me proud of my 12 year old daughter. Tops is that she will drink out of the hose and faucet. Her friends think she is weird.
